Holy cow!! WhendidRangers become the biggest cry babiesof all time. First off, Area Scan works just fine. For god sakes, what do you want to happen. IT TELLS YOU WHAT ANIMAL IS NEAR, THE DIRECTION AND THE DISTANCE!!!. My 9 year old figured it out and tracked Ferrel Banthas with it. Does it have a few bugs?? Yes, it shows dead creatures and some other annoying stuff, but for the most part, it's a great start to information we NEVER had before. Maybe next patch, SOE can make a button for you that brings the creatures right at your feet and even kills and harvs them too!!! Can they make it look better?? Sure they can...give them some time. Relax.....watch some TV, read a book.

60% Harv bug?? Ya it sucks and i'm sure it will get fixed. So it takes me a few extra days to make Master Ranger......SO WHAT. And the raising of certain XP???? HELLO!!!!we're you not reading the same posts as me????.....they said it was going to happen. ...DUH!!

Camo Kits............just shut up about the camo kits. OMG!!! you mean i might have to interact with other people {GASP} I might have to come down from the mountain and gather some resources {GULP} So what if we have to get a resource that we can't kill. I for one found it a challange to find the resources just to make the Tantouine (sp) camo kit. It kind of broke up the cycle of HUNT>KILL>HARV>CAMP. You see folks, it's just like real life. Sometimes you have to do the things you don't want in order to get something done. And ya, I put up floral harvs today and paid someone to survey the spot for me. Actually it was kind of fun.Am i shelling out some money to do this, well ya?? If your a Ranger at this point and don't have any money, well then you have bigger problems to address.

Mask Sent..... Made about 2k extra scouting XP's just running around creatures. FREE POINTS!!!

Bottom line.....post your complaints and move on. Stop whining and continue to play. For those who agree with me, keep on moving forward. For those who don't.....The diaper changing line forms to the left.

You know what this is a real dumb post you put up here. If you don't like people whining then don't read them. You come in here just flaming everyone that might have real gripes with the way things were done. Just because you don't agree with them doesn't mean you have to call them crybabies etc. It is pretty pathetic that you are a Ranger. Every Ranger I have met in the game has been a class act, you are the first onethat falls shortly.

You want an easy game, go back to whatever you were playing before. I won't miss ya. Bye. See ya. One less moron whining at the bank about how it's so tough to play this game, asking for credits, while wearing a 2k spec ops duster, yeah, he got my money. One less person sniveling about harvesting, and then flaming others for not charging outrageous prices.

Yes, this is a tough game. Yes, you must interact with other people. No, you can't be "Uber" in one week. No, you can't multi-class and be an "Uber" demi-god. Yes, you actually have to "work" at this game to make a living and get some good stuff.

Grow up people, this "game" is based on real life. Probably the most realistic game around. You want an easy game, the Sims is on sale at Walmart. You actually want to have to do things, i.e work, to gain skills, weapons, money, then stay here.

You're right- the purpose of a correspondent, forums, etc. is to convey information and ideas from the players to the developers.

But there are good and bad ways of presenting this information.

Which would you rather read:

I'm concerned with the changes with maskscent. It appears as if the skill is not working as intended. Could the developers please take a look at it and tell us if this is what they intended?

or

OMG! W T F?! Why the hell is maskscent not working?!!?!?!? I hate this game, everything sucks, nothing works, the developers are all lazy greedy assholes who are stealing my money, I'm not paying $15 a month to be a beta tester. Maskscent is worthless now. This better get fixed by tomorrow or I'm cancelling my account!!!!!!

Think about it. Presentation is important. A calm, intelligent request will go much farther than whining. So don't whine.

There is a good reason people are whinning more and more.

The game is growing older everyday (soon 3 months)

The Star Wars Magic effect is fading.

And people find themsleves in a bugged unfinished game that doesn't get better.

When the *fix* finally comes, and it's just an increased radar range that takes 20 sec to kick in, it sucks, period. First time i tried it, i needed to find Banthas for wooly hides. Step out of Mos espa, used it, and learn there was about 25 rills and 30 worrt in my nearby vacinity, all tab-targetable. Gee, thanks. To track a Bantha, i must stand near a Bantha. Woohoo!

See, you must compare. Best way to find a typical ressource (hide/meat), after this *cool* tracking patch, is STILL to use a terminal to spawn a lair.

So, when every *good new thing* to a game that really needs it is in fact a so-so toy that doesn't do much, you get....

Delta, and I did begin that way. However I am getting very frustrated. For the following reasons.

1. No matter how calmly, collectively you post a complant/bug you always, always get flamedfor doing so.

2. As Venar said, After watching these patches come out, and end up doing more harm then good, it becomes very frustrating. You start asking yourself, why am I paying to test the game for them?

And lastly, I greatly appreciate with utmost sincerety anyone Brave enough to suffer the flames and critizisism for posting a complant. They are the ones that will better my gaming expirence and not the people that will accept anything.

PLEASE, PLEASE remember how we got these changes to take effect. How we got the devs to look at this profession and make these changes to our class.

It was done with tact, maturity and professionalism. You know the old saying, "You can catch more flies with honey then vinegar". Lets just play the game, send in the bugs, work with the devs and get them fixed.

Ya, i know i phrased the title wrong. I bet my wife that the first posted response would catch this. Well i lost the bet but someone still posted it (you guy's catch everything) Now for the 350lb ding dong eating pud who thought that i was basing the Ranger class on the real Army Ranger's, LOL!!! I only post my afilliation at the bottom of my message because i do that on ALL my posts reguardless of what it is about. I'm proud to have served with the Army Ranger and the 2 conflicts in my 7 years with them. And no i don't apply my RL experiances to this game.......it's just a game. Of course, i know what it's like finding something from nothing, to run many miles to nowhere, to camp in the dirt in the middle of the desert, to shoot at a human being and be shot back at. Humm.... You make me laugh.

Aa far as the person who said i fell short of what he expected from a Ranger??? You make me laugh too. I've have done more for the people on my server than you ever could. I've trained hundreds of people in various skills. I've traveled to planets on myown credits to train people when they could make to me. I've dropped skills for people so that they could train me and get the App points. I've given tens of thousands of credits to people who were broke. I given clothes, weapons and resources to people. I've taking NooB scouts on hunting trips just so thatthe could harv and make scouting XP. I'm the first to give and the last to ask. THAT"S WHAT BEING A RANGER IS ABOUT.I FALL SHORT OF NOTHING!!!

Lastly, i never said there wasn't a place to voice problems about the game, But post the problem and move on. I'm tired of hearing about how this or that sucks. If you don't like, quit. Plain and simple. For those of you who are enjoying the Ranger classlike myself, It will only get better. And if that takes 6 months to do it. so be it. Hopefully all the whiners will have quit like they keep threating to do.

Hehe, btw...i have Tat wild oats for sale in Bestine. Qtys of 150 for 450 credits. That will give you enough to craft 10 times with your other resorces for a total of 20 Tat camo kits. I'm setting up floral harvs on other planets, but it's a slow start. I'm working on the other resorces at 2 credits per unit (meat, bone hide) again a slow start. If i can be of help, let me know.....

The tradition of the Ranger Forum, until now, has been to provide level-headed and well thought out discussions. Oh well...
