Is it possible to track and solo a krayt dragon?? If so what would it be??
Here is what I came up with:
Ranger - 1.0.4.3 (are the traps worth the skill points? How effective would they be against Krayt's? Can camo kits be used with riflemens /conceal shot??
Rifleman - 4.3.3.0 (possible to use /concealshotwith Ranger's /conceal?)
Fencer - 0.4.4.0 (used for defense and melee if it gets too close. If not fencer, I was thinking of putting points in medic)
Some stats:
Rifle Concealment Chance +75
Mask Scent +100
Camouflage +40
Cover +60
Mask Scent +100
Camouflage +40
Cover +60
Creature Harvesting +90
Creature Knowledge +90
Creature To-Hit Bonus +25
Defense Vs. Blind +50
Defense Vs. Dizzy +50
Defense Vs. Intimidate +20
Defense Vs. Knockdown +50
Defense Vs. Posture Change (Down) +80
Defense Vs. Stun +10
Dodge +90
Block +55
I'm also getting a good stock of Cryo grenades for goodcold damage!! ![]()
I want me some krayt tissue!! Let me know what you think!!

ranger skills wouldn't help soloing a krayt with a rifle. If you want to solo using conceal shot get master rifleman/marksman and good buffs food although it would take ages

No medic = dead
Any clue what the HAM is on a Krayt now?
They are fast, they will find you, they will make you into lunch.
Solo.... yeah, with a great deal of luck
Traps, useless. Camo, useless. Dodge works for Ranged weapons only.

I don't know much about being a Ranger, but here's what I can think of that may help ya:
Master Rifleman/Ranger 1/0/3/0/Swordsman 0/2/4/0.
This leaves you with 0 skill points remaining, so you have to be careful (or bring a healer with you). What is good about this is you have the speed of a MR and you can use concealshot. This alone should be enough to take out any krayt (assuming you have enough patience). However, if it does aggro, you have a little Swordsman to finish it off (NOT fight it from 100%
). The Ranger part may help in finding them in the first place- especially if you find the graveyard to be generally camped. I threw in the first box in the camo line too for the Tatooine camo kit (if it's of any use).
Take some armor (high kinetic protection), though only equip it if it aggros (macros helps). And as always, it can't hurt to make sure you're buffed. Hope this helps ya.
Master Rifleman/Ranger 1/0/3/0/Swordsman 0/2/4/0.

I hear Master Rifleman/Master TKA is nice for Krayt hunting. As is Master Swordsman/Master Doctor. Ranger is almost pointless (only /areatrack has any chance of helping and driving around in a speeder is almost as good). For Rifleman, you really need Master to be effective. All you really need is a way to give out lots of damage while taking lots of damage. So you want melee mitigation 3, lots of melee defense, lots of attack power, and good healing skills.

P.S. Don't bother with traps and low level /conceal. They are pointless.

Possible? yes....anything is possible in this game, the AI isn't very smart yet.....Probable tho? no
I don't think you have the kind of melee defence that would be required to take down a krayt...however if you get some lucky rolls on conceal shot with the Cold rifle(About 30-200+ in a row...depending what size krayt you want).....
You would have a Much better chance with a Master Melee profession, Pairing it with master ranger, TKM is the most complete all around option. Swordsmen are the most effective at killing krayt's currently however without Big doc healing or Defensive stacking from fencer and/or TK and/or piker it will be hard to do.
IMO i don't think the oddsinthe ranger + XXX template VS krayts are even remotly in our favor....just too many points into ranger with nothing that benifits your "krayt killin power".
Classes i've read that solo krayts(Assuming non Juvinele krayt), In order from most straight up to Cheesiest tactics:
Defencive stacked Swordsmen - Just beat the thing down with a power hammer(1 hour+, 30 min with Mind dot items)
Defencive stacked Piker - Just beat the thing down with the best weapon you got(1 hour+, 30 min with Action Dot items)
Fencer + XXX - Chip away at it for a few hours(unless you have a surplus of Stacking dot items)
TKM + XXX - Chip away at it for hours(Unless you have a Surplus of stacking Dot items)
Comando + Smuggler - Pre-Burn nerf 10 mins(While Pretending to be dead), Post nerf (hour+ while laying on the ground)
Master CM + Stack as many poisions and diseases on the lowest pool, jump on your speeder, Come back to re apply as requiered(heard as low as 20 mins)
Now of course there are exceptions(usualy exploits....such as making a wall of harvesters to "trap" the krayt behind)....and combinations of the above.....note ranger isn't on that list...yet

creature to hit should help
His accuracy will already be fine with the rifle, I don't think it'll help.
As far as traps - they very rarely stick on Krayts, and as far as I know, no one has EVER successfully masked scent or concealed past a Krayt.

Do Master TKA, Master Rifle, and commando 0/0/3/0. Do conceal shot shot til your cover is shot, catch it on fire, then do the TKA thing. Once the fire goes out, flame it again. Shouldn't take horribly long if you did a decent amount of damage before your cover was blown.

I was TKM/Master Heavy Swordsman/Master Medic....just lay into it with a sword and use center and intimidate whenever they wear off, however... a lame ass rifleman will most likely come along and use you as a tank whilst out damaging you and getting the loot yay.
