Thread: Antarian Rangers: My Letter of Resignation
My fellow Antarians and Friends,
First of all, I would like to say that for the most part, my time in SWG has been a fun and memorable experience. However, between real life activities and my waning interest in the game, I find myself with less and less time to play.
So it is with heavy heart
that I feel I must resign from the game and as leader of the Ahazi Antarian Rangers. A guild of such importance and respect requires a leader with more time and energy than I am able to provide at this point.
I am proud to have played a role in forming the Antarian Rangers, and although it hasn't exactly worked out the way we (I) initially envisioned it, I do believe we have created one of the most respected and known player associations in SWG. In addition, I believe we are the largest cross-galaxy association.
This was my first mmorpg, and quite frankly, I probably got over my head by starting this guild. Never having been involved in anything similar, I owe the success of the Antarian Rangers to the many members and associates who have helped me along the way. Without your guidance and support, AR would not be what it is today.
It has been a long road since we first had those original cross-galaxy "Ranger Conferences", and many of our old-timers who participated have long since departed. Those of you who are new to the Antarian Rangers should go back and read some of the old posts to see how we got started. It was a fun and interesting experience. In addition, there is a new website being developed that will hopefully bring all the galaxies under one roof. Please lend your support to this project.
I am proud to have never given up my Master Ranger status, despite the many complaints and problems we have had over the past period. I sincerely hope that some day the devs will see fit to provide you with the tools and skills required to enable the Antarian Rangers to become the elite space fighting Rangers I had originally envisioned.
I can't say that I am a die-hard Star Wars fan although I am a fan of the movies. However, despite my efforts at continuing to play this game, I feel I am more of a traditional rpg (D & D) kind of player and perhaps that is why my interest in SWG isn't what it should be. Or maybe it's just the fact of playing one game for so long that I just need something different.
I joined this game because my real-life friends told me that if I was ever going to join a mmorpg, SWG was the one to join - they all left less than a month after release.
I decided to stick it out and have not regretted doing so. I have since met so many new friends and will miss you all the most.
I plan on joining EQ2 as that seems to be more of my style of game, not to mention the graphics look awesome. I wish everyone the best of luck and much fun in SWG and I hope to see some of you in the future in EQ2.
Good Luck, Good Hunting and May The Force Be With You!!

Sad to see you go Zkull. AS one f the "old timers" I remember the first discussions of AR, where to put the hall, who would fund it etc. I was very impressed with your work and commitment.
I wish you good travels and good hunting. There will always be a place here for you. ![]()
Very respectfully,

egad... maybe they was right, everyone is leaving. This is so sad ![]()
Sorry to see you go. Don't be afraid to come back if they ever fix us (or when the space expansion comes along).

Farewell, my Antarian brother. May all your kills be fat and healthy. May you someday return to the hunt with us, and join with us in the glorious initiation of the new era of the Ranger!

Its a sad sad day for the AR. I am sorry you didnt have the opportunity to come by the Shadowfire Hall. Your work and support was instrumental in the success of the Shadowfire chapter. I wish you safe journies and may the winds of fortune blow your way.
All Hail.
Ryland,
Don't worry - I haven't left Ahazi in a hole. I already sent all members e-mail letting them know I will stay on until a new leader is elected and I can transfer all my money and belongings.
The only major issue is the takeover of the PA Hall. SInce it takes 9 lots, perhaps we can implore one of our guildies from another galaxy to use a toon to hold it for us?
