Im MBH/MRanger xx2x medic i wear +19 healing eff bando and heal for about 700 plus my 1.2k stim d's and im away tend to onyl wear armour when i hunt in a group if its solo its 2 lots of melee/ranged def clothing and 2 lots of healing eff clothing, like the others said use p darts they r ur friends, also buy a decent adv probot droid helps alot when fighting stuf fkeeps there regen down etc

Terrain Negotiation bonus and /burstrun

1k heal stims + 16 fill Ruby Bliel. I can manage against most npcs and animals easy, it's the pvp against any-sort-of-medic that kills me.

That's my template and yes, Ruby + Stim Ds is enough vs. creatures and most NPCs.

It's not a 1on1 PvP-template though.

It might be difficult for someone who did the /respec to Master Ranger but every good Ranger can hunt with his traps, some don't even need to heal.

It's just a different approach than what the Joe-Blow-ranged+medic templates are used to and in Ranger you will need the tactics that everyone screamed weren't there before the CU. They were, people were just so overpowered they didn't need them. Same with any template that includes healing these days, tsk tsk.

... but hey, me ranting doesn't help you much.

Use stims.

Use damage reducers aka synthsteak and exo protein wafers.

Use armor.

Use melee / ranged defense foods / drinks, but Pika Thundercloud is supposedly broken atm.

I try not to use those in anything else but PvE though, and very rarely, because it is broken right now. You can heal yourself immediately after popping one, so essentially you can do 3.2K heal in about 2 or 3 seconds.

I use 1k+ stim d's and Ruby Biel in an emergency.

In a group that has no healer I try to keep my damage down so as to avoid getting agro'd.

Lots of food. The above posters have pretty much covered them, but it does get expensive. If you have to, get friendly with a Chef and BE for food and stims. Make a trade deal with them, and you should be covered/

Use P-darts. Learn to love P-Darts. A slow enemy is a dead one. And as others have said, the stim-D's are a good way to cut down the rest periods.
