Hey everyone,

It appears that they fixed the 1 unit skinny creature problem that was occuring during the resource shift. Lastnight I was collecting herb meat on Dant. and in the middle of a mission it changed. I was a little bummed since the quality took a dive, but its good to see that they finally fixed the problem. This may give us one day of the cycle back because the 1 unit time was of the next cycle.....I had this happen with herb meat and wooly hides lastnight. Anyone else have the same thing happen on other planets?

Had it happen on both Naboo and Rori last night, so looks like it's fixed.

Alrighty then...

I am going to need a consensus on this issue before removing it from the issues list.

The Resource Shift Skinny issue:

  • Is it resolved?

I have noticed this though. I'm not sure if this has always happened, but no matter what resource you collect from creatures in cave areas, you only get 1 unit of it. This happened in the Veermok caves near Deeja Peak, and also in the Pygmy Torton cave on Rori.

Was this always like this or is it new?

"but no matter what resource you collect from creatures in cave areas, you only get 1 unit of it."

That feature is intended, as it is too easy to farm the static spawns for harvested materials.

Yes, I just read a post on the scout boards about this.

Sorry I didn't do my homework. I guess it makes sense to keep people from harvesting massive amounts of the same resources.

I have not yet had this happen since the patch. But if they allow only the skinny bug tohappen in caves, thats ok just add some loot. That giant fynock on talus is really hard in that cave id like something to show for it, Im done with xp no need to go to caves again really.

HI guys!

Yep, even though I'm 3/4/4/4 into BH now, I still harvest using my Master Scout and mad killing ability.

The '1' resource quantity happens for 24 hours during a resource shift.

The good news is if you get a '1' it will show the correct qualities for the next shift. Think of it as a sample.

So if you get a '1' mark down the value of the resource. A lot of people see one and just throw it away, when in fact it gives you a jump in knowing where the next uber source of avian, herb or carnivore meat will be found.

Good to see you're still in charge, NRaas.

It has been resolved. I was hunting Tortons this weekend and did not even notice the difference untill I looked to see how many were in the stack. I saw 2 stacks. The shift happend instantly.

It was adjusted on Dantoine as well, scaly shifted and did not know until later. Personaly, I collect large amounts of hide for my guild, I learned to like the "skinny" resource shift issue. It helped to make it very clear that a shift had occured and also told you when a new resource had spawned (giving you a clue as to about how long it will remain). So, this is not actually a fix, but an adjustment. I liked it better before but either way it wont effect much.

I havent seen a confirmed resource shift yet. I say give it some time before we say it is actually fixed.

Are you sure you arent seeing this (from the patch notes) effect:

  • Loot components from unrelated creatures no longer stack. Only same-creature loot components will stack.

Hides/bones/meat are not considered loot. so that doesn't apply Spit.

And I too concur the 1 unit skinny bug is fixed so it shift on Dant.
