Points to the thread at the top of the boards.
*sighs*
Why can't they read? Please learn to read before you post

Save ya some money.
Pirates. Go east out of Mos Eisley and turn on your overhead. Hit the waypoints and then wait. Don't just ride thru at 100mph, wait.
You will never find a moister farmer. He does not exist. The "Moisture" farmer works the same was as the pirates.
Just hitting the waypoints won't help you in finding them. You have to sit for 10 secs and see if they spawn.
Doesn't matter tho - you won't read this just like you didn't read the stickies.

Wouldnt take the job even if i was located on Bria.
I never take "payment IF you find it" jobs, because if i dont find them i have lost both money and time.

I AM on Bria, and I won't do it. Why not read the top of the ranger forums first? Or even if you miss that, why not ask nicely rather then TELL us what we NEED to do? I did free tracking last night for a group (who ended up tipped me out of curtousy) but because they were lost, asked nicely, and treated people with some respect. Bleh. Put me in a bad mood on a Thursday nonetheless.

I strongly suggest that you find the post titled "how to hire a ranger".
You should post your request on your server's trade forum and pay BY THE HOUR. I charge 400k-500k by the hour for tracking and would never do it based on finding the target... even for a few mil.
Rangers have the "tracking" skill which takes time, not the "find a creature" skill. Therefore, we charge for "tracking" not "finding creatures".
You get flamed on this because people routinely ask questions and favours of rangers that demonstrate ignorance to the profession. We understand that people need to learn, but often we get rude replies when we try and explain why tracking gets charged by the hour. Therefore, the initial ignorance becomes harder to tollerate when the educational efforts on our part are met with disdain.
Hopefully I have explained things clearly enough here without offending anyone too greatly. Best of luck on your tracking endeavours.

Why should we help those who cannot help themselves?
I'm willing to TRY and help others as long as they're willing to learn from a small dose of education and overcome their ignorance. I wish people would take a LITTLE more time to read through the stickies at the top of the forum, but I'm willing to overlook that once. If a small dose of education is the cure, I'll play doctor! wow, that's the cheesiest thing I've said in a while.

Eh, I figure anyone who scrolls right past "Do not solicit the services of a Ranger here!" ain't exactly the learning type.
But I agree -- not everyone knows the intricacies of every profession. An ounce of teaching can go a long way in that respect.

To all of you who flame me what the hecks wrong with you?
Were you abused as a child. Did you not get the prize from the Cracker Jacks Box?
or is the only way to build up your post count?
Now Jbmat thanks for the 10 sec info, that worked.
The rest of you need to get a life.
Thinking ranger is tough to master, it was oneof the easiest professionsI have ever mastered.
If you want respect than show respect.
Peace and KMA

There's a whole wide world between getting a badge and being a Master. Like reading the *STICKY* at the top of the forum - if you were *ever* a Master Ranger, you'd know this.
