I have to say that after reading your informed, adult, respectful posts in Pex's "Event Tool Thread" I am that much more proud to be a Ranger. I flew over to that board ready for a firefight and saw you'dsaid what I wanted toin the most mature manner I've seen on these boards.

I've been a Ranger since Day 1 and I'm not goin anywhere.

They can take our camps.... they can break our camo... they can give us worthless scrap to hurl at creaturesand send us out in the woods walking in circles. And to that:

We've proven our patience. We've proven our resolve. And we've proven our maturity.

Congrats Rangers...

You're a group I'm proud to be part of!

I agree. I've jumped around other profession forums and most of them are nothing but a bunch of whiners and babies. I've been a ranger since July 2003 (I gave it up for 2 months to try other things but now I'm back to my roots and working up to master again) and I have to say that we are very mature about voiceing ourselves (except when the hologrinders came and destroyed our integrity). I too am proud to be a ranger!

Ok, i badly need to ask something that caused me a great deal of anxiety, lost sleep, hair fall, etc.:

What does l337 mean in regular-speak? "leet", (whatever that means)? "cool"?

Please save me from this agony

l337 = leet = elite. Meaning that they are the "elite" users of the game. leet speak is the use of numbers rather than letters. 1= i, 3=e, 7= T. Started off with programers/hacker usage. Now it's used by idiots everywhere to sound cool or like they know what they're talking about. Used by Rangers as a way to make fun of said idiots.

and Fred's right...that's the first time i've seen mature in leet speak.

This is horrible! I return to find my new title on the forum is "Jedi". What's up with that? If they wanted to confer that I'm rare and learned, they'd make my title RANGER. and then make it camo colored.

Alongside Scout you say? hmmmm. Last time I visited the scout forum it was full of whining and moaning, was maybe three months ago though, so it may have changed.

Well tbh we moan and whine alot, but the advantage here is that we can push ideas forward that could one day be implemented, whereas scouts have basically been told, your profession is just right and we dont want to change it anymore.

This leaves them with only moaning to do, only bugs to report and generalquestions to answer. But Delta does a great job of keeping them in check, and i feel almost as comfortable posting there asi do here

LOL Beri. I think 1337 means elite. It's a part of this whole leet speak thing. It actually drives me nuts, LOL. Numbers are letters. In my guild jedi are Z3dd11. Don't ask me why, lol. I don't really understand it myself, but I can figure out what they're saying if I think about it.

I was on the BE forums today and they dont seem too too bad. Today. There was at least one person there who had been scared off going Ranger by our recent posts though. Drat.

Today being the operative word.

That forum can certainly win a few other choice awards...

I think the biggest whiners are (and to some of you, I mean no disrespect) the TKAs. I went in there one day and they are complaining about their dizzy nerf and how they're not uber any more etc....They sicken me (not all of them, just the whiners).
