Your my people so let me know what ya think of my proposal~
1.Most importantly. You can only be Jedi if your account credit card information is the same name as the person who registers. Hopefully this will weed out the 9 year olds a tad. (But don't tell anyone this =P) And just once have a CSR send a tell to the person 4 months later, so when "Johnny" says it his him, and not Lisa (his mom as per the credit card, and / or registered name) you can red flag the account for "no FS"
2. Be absolutely sure the person who is a Jedi is over18 years of age or haswon some presidential award of maturity that the basic jedi simply requires....(I'm sorry I havesome 15-17 year old lilfriends in the game that are really sweet and fun, no offense buddies, but I'm talking mainstream here.)
(Yes really starting to get on my nerves thatjedi's out there whom are supposed to be the material form of honor and integrity cry out "Your a poopoo face!" when they don't get there way.)
3. Like CSR given badges, sorta. For acts (note plural-acts)of goodness, courage, honor, far beyond anything we have seen from the 99% of the current Jedi out there. Or excessive (albiet well RPed out and still positive for game enjoyment for all) acts of pure evil. This is an MMO(R)ole(P)laying(G)ame is it not?
4. Wanna make it long and hard to become a jedi? No problem! Just make one of the criteria that a possible account includes the character on that server has maintained the same mastered profession for more than 6 months. Not 6 months of playtime, but 6 months of rl time as a master of something. So even the casual players can get some....that'll weed out about another 96% of the players today. Or that at least if not mastered (I understand the game is designed to allow a plethera of skills to mold your own "mastered" profession) having the same template for 6 months.
(It would be the first I have ever heard of a Jedi becoming in tune with the force because he was a "jack-of-all-trades" and fickle, can't make up his/her mind, individual. BTW, as you well know, (and coming from an entertainer/ranger admittedly) holocrons were a horrible idea)
This comes after a bad evening last night of putting up with "Episode 2: Anakin the constant whining crybaby" types of Jedi that is pretty much mainstream...
Oh one more question, why have I never seen a female jedi? I mean seriously.
(Sorry SOE and Calc for not being to rangery on this post here in this forum.)

You perhaps missed the first person to unlock jedi ever on SWG. Monika Tsarn (i think it was that name of either main or jedi character)
That player (who turned out to be a 39 year old german male) had his main a female and also his jedi (the first jedi ever made in SWG) a female.

That question was two-fold. I did not know the first unlock was a female character, but on 4 different servers I have never seen a female one myself.
It was also (purely made in fun) jest about women being on the par, more mature, even at 13, and on up through the ages

This would cause a problem for me as my husband and I both play but his name was usedon the credit card info onall our accounts (my 2 kids have accounts too). I registered under my name. I am 38 years old.
This should not be one of the stipulations for acquiring an FS slot.

Ocain, I'm going to assume you've never posted here before.
This is the Ranger forum where we're not used to people using cusswords senselessly and being rude for no reason. Here, we are used to discussing ideas, not posting random insults and then going back to trolling. So allow me to say this: the idea may not be the way that you think Jedi should be, but you have no call to yell that way. Just because someone suggests an idea that you don't sign off on doesn't make them useles. Coming up with ANY idea gives you at least a little use. It is my personal opinion that the only useless people on the forums are those that scream obsenities and offer no constructive feedback. and it may surprise you that the original poster may have been a little tounge-in-cheek.
So what I am saying is that I don't know you personally, and there is little likelihood that our paths will ever cross in real life. But understand that by coming in to our forums and posting in an immature and pointless way, you are leaving a bad impression of yourself. You may not (and probably do not) care what I, or any of the other posters feel about you, but i have to say that you seem like a kid. You may be 12, or you may be 50, but either way, you are behaving like a kid who just learned curse words.
In real life, I curse...a lot. but it's jokingly and I rarely use it on the forums (especially in anger) because it just shows that you have no self-control.
Anyway the point is, if you're going to post on the Ranger forum we ask that you refrain from pointless profanity and insults, because we're not use to that, and many of us think it's sad that there are forums where your type of posts are the norm. Rangers pride themselves on maintaining a mature board, we ask that you do the same while posting here.

I dont like telling people what to do so instead ill give you some advice:
1: Take note of what Phenix has said
2: Try to understand why your behavior is bang out of order
3: Grow the hell up
4: If you cant post anythingcontructive or worth anyone'sattention, dont post at all.
The attitude displayed in your post highlights perfectly the blight of this game and the majority of the other forums. The ranger forums are different to all others aroundand is the only place you will be able to have a great discussion without posts like yours haunting other community members. Attitudes that like do nothing but prevent community growth and make the gameless enjoyable for others. The game isbetter off without attitudes like that.
