Okay, well I've been away from an internet connection for a little while now, but now (thank heavens) I've got it back and am all set to cover this board with all my ickey, gooey, cream-centered...posts. So I pop back in to the Ranger forum and 'lo do my eyes see not just one...but MULTIPLE threads talking about bank accounts. Forgive me if I have, in the last few weeks, lost my sense of what it meant to be a Ranger-- but for me it was never about money or anything like that. It was always about the journey.
In that vein, let me ask all of you a question: what is your best piece of booty? Now I'm not talking about something you bought, or something you traded for. What, whie doing quests or looting NPC's or even looting animals, is your favorite/best item. For me, it's still the two skulls we can get from the Mat Raggs quests and the Darklighter quests. I did both of these early in my time in SWG (did 'em both on TC when they were borked to heck and they just fixed them on TC). I still remember finding those quests hard at first...and the trophies they gave me are still some of the coolest quest-based items I have in my house.
Screw the money...I want more skulls in my house.

Well, I have two.
1st) A (Premium) Krayt Pearl that was looted off the first Dragon I ever tracked. My guildmates were awesome enough to let me keep it, since I found the dragon for them (along with several others before the night was through).
2nd) I keep them in a satchel, but it is a couple Rancor Hides, and a Rancor tooth from the first time I soloed a lair of 'em without buffs.
Good memories tied to those pieces, I don't think I'd sell em regardless of the offer.

Hehe, yup Phen, I'd been wondering about the 'how bigs your monkey' posts too. We're Rangers, who cares how much we've got in the bank? (OK, I know we all do, but pffffft... )
My favourite booty items... the skulls too. Same reasons! They were hard to get, way back, and then, when I went back to get a second lot for fun, it was STILL interesting.
Other couple of favourite items, lon-loot, but I give them houseroom for odd reasons.
A spec ops pack and a lowland bol called Fluffy that a RL friend gave me when I first started ingame.
A burnt out lamp from Rori that was named for a friend who dropped out of game and took a lot of the light out of the game for a few of us.
Might have more credits in the bank than I'd have imagined possible, but the money's just for 'doing stuff', the best memories in the game have come from the people.

I agree. Ive got a shrine set up with pikes in my house for a friend of mine who quit.

It must be the artist in me but i like it when i get the random paintings, just recently got a bio-engineer picture, and the Luke and Leia posters. The two skulls do rule however....

Actually I've been I've been impressed with all the monkey posts. It shows we really are a viable and important part of the economy! Woot! Er... we'll just ignore my own non-existent bank account.
From the solitary fights vs. Gorax, Krayt, Albatross, etc. you will usually get something to show for it - some kind of prize. But for the real "hunt" hunts, everything you get you give to someone else and, in effect, have nothing to show for your sense of accomplishment. Except, of course, the money you are paid. It becomes your trophy - your Krayt pearl. Proof of your time and effort.I don't think I have a single piece of booty to be proud of lol - just a lot of houses filled with sentimantal junk. My two gigs of screenshots however - thoses I'm proud of! The ones I have of Paks wearing her Master tag especially.

My favorite is my Kryat dragon skull. Kinda dissappointed that it didn't come from a creature hunt instead of working for a slug, but at least I got to talk to Huff
Have one of the oriental looking lamps inside of the skull's mouth with pelts around the front of it. Looks pretty cool.
