Welcome.. And it sounds like you're 0011 if you've got a box of trapping and tracking.
You're thinking of the scout tree which is expl/trap/hunt/survival... Ranger is wayfaring/survival/track/trap. No idea why the trapping and survival trees get switched around when going ranger.

My opinion is that the devs saw later on that ranger was nothing more than a slightly better scout so swapped a few tiers around to make it look different

After an agonizing 17000 survival xp grind tonight, I jumped from scout 4443, to RANGER 0101!!! (i think it's 0101, got trap1 and track1)
Anyways, I"m soo proud and happy because eversince i learned about Rangers I wanted to be one. Now i'm there. And I hope to help the Ranger community in the future in any way i can. And it's nice to be able to say i'm part of this hilarious forum. Hope to see some of you around on Shadowfire in the near future!!!!
