I just noticed a bug with harvesting.
I have macros set up to /harvest bone and /harvest hide. Certain creatures only have, say hide for example, like rockmites on Tat. If I hit /harvest bone, of course I don't get any. However, that just ruined my chance to harvest anything for some reason. If I go back to try and get the hides, I can not. Doesn't even come up in radial menu.
Anyone else ever experience this? Please try it and verify. I /bugged it, but maybe we can bring it up through the forum as well.

I've gotten this for a while and have /bugged it a few times with no result. I wish they'd stop worrying about nerfing CH and would actually fix some classes.

I just noticed if I have my pet grouped I get less harvest "output", is this intended? I understand if other players are grouped the harvest result is less than being alone but this doesnt seem right concerning a pet.

To the system, a group is a group is a group.
If your character is flagged as being in a group, you will receive the harvesting reduction associated with grouping.

An amusing related phenomena.. Ever loot a corpse for creds while grouped with a pet, or finish a mission? It splits the loot, and gives you your fair share (the pet doesn't seem to want it's share, so luckily you get it all)

Has anyone else encountered a bug with harvesting? When I send my droid out to harvest a corpse, if I start combat with another target, my droid will go to the corpse and return without harvesting. The corpse will not be able to be harvested after that. I have repeated this about 25 times purposely after I was getting angry that my enraged rancors weren't being harvested (costing me around 10k hide total).
Is this a new bug?

Sounds like the Harvestor droid is not doing it's one and only job.
Imagine that.

Don't know.
Then see if you can get it to happen again, now that you've relogged and all. Check your droids batteries are fully charged as I've sometimes had odd behaviour when they get low.
Try checking the harvesting command is set up right. Just in case it's got cleared somehow.
If you're giving the command in Spatial, try /tellpet and vice versa.
(To use a command using /tellpet remember it needs to be programmed as a two letter command.)
If it happens again /bug it ingame and let us know so other harvester users can check it out further.

It might be possible that your droid has an item storage compartment and the harvest is ending up in there. Are you getting any sort of harvest message or is there no feedback and no harvest?

I have experienced this bug or whatever it is before. Both when the droids battery was down to 75%. Other times I it happened when I was grouped with the droid, even if its batteries was 100%.
Storing the droid and recalling it does usually fixes it, and not being grouped with the droid prevents it.
I just stopped grouping with my droid and checked the power level after every lair I cleaned out.

Bah simple one guys.
He's scared.. store him, call him. He'll work fine then.
Its happend to me at least 10 times. No good reason at all. I never group with my droid and some time there isn'
t a single living thing on the radar... whatever, its easy to fix.

super duper simple answer?
the problem is you were using a droid. Seriously, stop doing that, at least for now.
right now, grouping with another player, regardless of their skills, will get you a better boost to harvest than any droid will. Grouping with a Master Ranger will get you twice what a droid could.
unfortunately the droid bonus doesn't stack with the group bonus, although I hear the DE corr is working on getting that changed. until they do change it, find a friend rather than a droid.
