Thread: If a developer ever posted HERE, what would you ask them?
I doubt I could ask anything different than what just about every other ranger would want to know (traps, skill point issues, etc). I WOULD be fascinated to hear what the answers would be, though....
They used to be very cautious earlier to not let professions step on each others toes.

/agree
i'd ask if they ever plan on making camps userful to Rangers / Scouts........you'd think that camps would be an Outdoorsman's home.

Are you lost?
Realistically I'd prolly just sit back and watch what y'all asked. (This is a very valid point Devs - beware of the lurkers!!!)
But yes I'd like to see what ARE they thinking about Camps, Traps, and any kind of a combat bonus (personally, I think Rangers should get something vs. kinetic or whatever it is critters do).

The official answer to that would be "Yes."
Unofficially the answer would be, "Yes there is a long-term plan, and no we haven't any idea what it is yet."
I think my favorite question was posted above:
Are you lost?
But invariably when the answer is "No" it begs a series of other questions, none of which are likely to actually bear any fruit. So if a developer posted here, I'd take a page from Tigg's book: sit back and munch on some popcorn.
yeah, I'm shallow

This EXACTLY what will happen with that question.
Sadly, there are few, if any, questions that we can ask that they can answer in detail. I would be tempted to ask if we are to be included in the upcomming bug fix publishes, but, they probably don't even have those planned (let me clarify). I expect that system is something like this:
- Dev takes the next bug on the list
- Dev tries to reproduce bug
- if bug is not reproducible, it goes back to the bottom of the list
- if bug is reproducible, it gets fixed or if it isn't readily fixable, it goes back on the list
- Move on to next bug.
Now, keep in mind that QA sorts the bug list by order of importance (based on their own criteria, probably including severityand/or number of reports). This kind of explains how Jedi and BH seem to get a lot of fixes...the got alot of bug reports.
OK, this was slightly tangential, but it does explian why my question is a bad one
.
To reiterate, there is almost nothing we can ask that will get a non-cookie cutter response.
Do you guys remember the 19 Questions from back in the day? We WERE given the opportunity to ask a Dev anyhting, and almost every message was as ambiguous as one can be.
I know the answer would be ambiguous, but we have to ask! Otherwise how can we tuly be the Masochist profession of SWG?
Edit: I hate it when I misspell Ranger.

I would ask: Will Raners be able to use traps against NPCs and in PvP in the future?
Apparently Wookies and Trandoshans have equal typing abilities
