/Sigh.. It wouldn't surprise me, but I doubt it'd be that easy.. Then again, what do I know? They'll make more Jedi and by definition more cash if they make one quest=Jedi.

There is a crystal supposedly in game but not available according to the Jedi FAQ named ObiWan's Legacy. The advertisement for the expansions details a new crystal creating a lava like saber blade. Probably connected.

To me, that would seem too obvious. They mention the crystal outright, then hint at some fantastic rich reward for actually completing these quests....

hmmm, jedi-geared content on an Ep III planet that so far in the PR notes seems to hint around this publish being VERY (I won't say exclusively, tho it does sound close)jedi focused. I'm in full /cynical mode now like Calc, but I'm betting it's either a way to unlock, a way to get you jedi to be "uber" (the much ballyhooed 1.5x), a way into the FRS, or some other jedi-only item/content/improvement.

On a completely unrelated note, I'm wondering if we'll get camo here or not. I mean, it's a lava planet, I'd hate to think of the stuff I'd have to smear on myself to hide from the natives (or anyone else for that matter).

Yeah the camo might sting a bit.
I hadnt thought about this being a new way to unlock. I fiqured it was just another money grab expansion pack. And big suprise its full of jedi only content! Which im sure is what the focus groups tell them is important.

Now the jedi can fly there little jedi spaceship to Mustavah and pretend to be Anakin! Well older anakin since most jedi are about the age of episode 1 Anakin and not episode 3. Doesnt it seem odd that this movie was so unloved and yet we keep getting told by Lucas Arts that everyone loved it? Give me Hoth and let me relive Empire not that stupid frankenstein scene from Episode 3

Trials of Obi Wan------> FRS Revamp.

I figure the expansion will be about 90% Jedi content. Not sure how I feel about this. I wish they would focus more on what's already broken in the game, GCW, Ranger, SL, etc. But at the same time, my Jedi is bored as all hell.

But then they would not have anything to base future expansions on...
RotW = Combat Upgrade
Trials of Obi Wan = FRS Revamp.
Unknown 1 = GCW Revamp.
Unknown 2 = Crafting revamp (have to buy to use the new stuff so non crafter buys it as well)
And so on....

My guess would be knighthood. I think quests would be a great way to do the knight trials. My 2 creds.

but if they make jedi easy to obtain people spend fewer months playing SWG to get it. jedi is probably an MMO maker's best friend, by design it takes months of paying for to achieve, and then when it takes even longer to master, and once you master it you feel obligated to run around being uber, i would assume

if the new expansion gives me nothing for any of my accounts (rifleman, ranger, carbineer, pistoleer, teras kasi, swordsman, architect, tailor) im out
