Howdy all. New Ranger here; I've been quietly trolling your forums for a while since a lot of stuff pretained to CH, and with the grind-heavy new CH system I wanted to make myself a better hunter (blessed is Area Track) and be able to better harvest for my tailor and crafter friends.
Anywhoot, I remember seeing a "Show off your Ranger Look" thread a while back, and skimming that I saw a lot of really wicked looking rifles in the hands of the hunters. I haven't decided if I'm going to stay Master CH or add some Rifles yet to my future MRanger, but I wanted to know what kind of Rifle you folks are using. All the Riflemen are using anALR (non-Master cert), which pack a nice punch, but which look pretty lame, or the T21 which is a bit bulky and requires Master cert. Remembering you guys had a good sense of style from that thread, what kind of rifles are you using, and where did you pick it up?

Some of the cool new rifles to look out for, and where to get them...
LD-1 (Outcast quest)
DC15 Rifle(Fett Clone Relics quest)
Falleen Hyper Rifle (Sordaan's bets)
Trandoshan Hunter Rifle (one of the leexards in the slaver camp starts this I think... haven't done this quest series yet)
I personally like the look of the LD-1 the best. Coupled with it's relative rarity (you have to kill the arena champion to even get the abilty to do the quests to get this), it makes fora very nice, and fairly unique rifle that just looks darn nice when you're hunting.

That's a good question too.
Atm I just need Master Rifle and I'm done with it. I'm still using a laser rifle I bought for hunting til master. I'm in the process of looking for a decent Master level one now. I'm not really sure what I want either, the T21 just isn't really me, but I might settle for it. If my old rifle doesn't wear out before I master Rifle, and most of Ranger, I may actually be able to do a couple of the quests first hehe

Does anyone have a picture of the Trandoshan Hunting Rifle?
I picked up a barrel schematic and was wondering if it was worth going for the second schematic... or even picking up some rifle SEAs for?

My workhorse rifle on TC is a good old Tusken that kicks out just under 400dps but has a SAC of 109. Feh, SAC reducing PuP and we're happy bunnies...
On Live my Adv Laser does more damage than my T21 which is just in my pack 'in case'.
I'd love to get my hands on a Berserker though, or the Nullifier as they look like rifles. The DC-whatever it is that Fett gives out is pretty, but come on, it looks like a BAR, not something you'd take hunting eh.

NOTE: This is an either looted or quest reward version, so the stats will be different on a crafted one.

Not really the looker I was hoping for :/
Maybe stocks and scopes can spice it up.

while you're at it, get the Rodian Death Blade added to the game too. I was playing KOTOR2, and i looted one off of a Rodian Bounty Hunter. It was a large 2-handed curved sword. back when my alt was a weaponsmith, i named all my 2-handed curved swords "Rodian Death Blade"
preferably don't make any pistols with the name "Greedo" in it though.

If we're going to be adding in Rodian weapons from KOTOR, you realize that there are at least 3 Bothan weapons in that game. I know theres a carbine, pistol and rifle. As soon as I found two of them, I started going through the game with nothing but dual-wielded Bothan weapons. They're actually quite usefull. They stun an opponant, and so in one-on one fights, I would often win simply because the other person rarely got a chance to attack.

last time i played KOTOR2, i felt really bad. i played my character as evil as possible, which meant not helping the Rodian Merchant in Nar Shadaa. 
but, if you go super evil, and choose Sith Lord for your final focus, you get CRAZY force powers. i actually ran around most of the time without even having a weapon equiped, as all i did was use force powers. Force Crush was nice, but Force Storm FTW. you can clear an entire room of enemies in 1 or 2 attacks.
Phenix, is the Bothan Bola Carbine in SWG? I have the Special Ops Bola Carbine is, and it's description says it is an improved version of the Bothan one.

Yup, the Bothan Bola carbine is supposedly in the game, but it's a very low-level weapon, so you won't see it around that much. I'm not even sure if it's a quest or WS-made. If it's WS-made, I'm going to have one made to the cap in damage just to have one on my wall.
