Thread: Bug with Examine stats on BE pets???
Hi folks,
When I examine people's BE made pets (even my own) for some reason no matter how old they are, or what their CL is, it shows up as "1". I can see some of the other information correctly, but Special Attacks also show up as none... the normal "Special Attack 1: ---" etc.
Is this a bug? Or are we not supposed to be able to see the information on BE made critters like we can on the wild variety?
Thanks for any insight,
Cressida
come on, Nraas... someone.... anyone know if this is "as intended"?

I saw a Kimo at the Mining outpost on Dantooine and it was like light blue to me with no weapon equipped. I was like "What??" then I looked at its HAM and it was only like 600 or something. I am pretty sure it was like CL6 or something.
I have heard from the BE and CH Corr. that most (if not all) cloned pets are displaying the incorrect Difficulty Level.
As for the Special Attack, that I don't know anything about.
I am sure at what I am looking at, because it will display wrong even when I "examine" my own pets (while out) which are BE made.
My RL hubby's character is a BE, so I have tried this on many different pets, belonging to many different people. It happens on every single one... no matter what the real age of the pet, it only ever displays CL1 and the special attacks list as the normal for if there were not any.... and I know darn well there are are.
I can examine my pet via the data pad and see all the correct info, yet an examine on his body when he is out displays this bugged information.
Nrass, could we pass this on to someone and maybe get it fixed or find out if they just don't want us to know this info for BE made pets?

You should bring it up in the BE forums... They already know about the CL1 issue.
As for the special attack, thatmight be something valid. Check out theBE forum and see if anyone has heard about it.
mmmm ok, but isn't this a ranger issue since it's our ability to see critters stats that is buggy? Not really sure what the BE correspondent can do about something like that.

The problem is that we can still see the Special Attack. The clones are simply displaying it incorrectly.
Make sure to /bug the problem, and I'll add it to the list. ![]()
Okies, well I posted it over in BE too... I just know that you would be the kind of "take charge" guy who would be sure to report it, and don't have any experience with the BE guy (he may be wonderful, I just don't know). hehe

Really? Where did you get that impression? ![]()

Hey, not sure if I am right here, but I 'assumed' that these BE lvl 1 pets are actually uber lvl 1 pets that BE's can, and have been making, and selling for millions of credits because its an uber non CH pet. I think that the devs intended to make these pets invalid with that one live patch, but instead it messed up everyone's BE pets, so they had to revert it back to the way it was until they can correctly fix the problem.

From what I understand from Talthazar (the BE Corr.), that most CL 1 clones are indeed erroneous.
Be wary of purchasing an overly powerfulCL 1 clone. You may find in some patch down the line that you may not be able to call it.

Well, this is a bug in the /examine and not the BE creation. I had assumed that others knew about this, but I might have been mistaken. I am one of those most reviled master ranger/master CH's. The link below is an example of a BE critter I have. The left is the /examine display and the right is the critter stats on my datapad. The critter is a proper creation, but the /examine sees the BE creation with false results
