Thread: Fastest Scout XP I have ever gotten...

Started ranger and went up the trapping line in about 20 minutes 
Started on the two trees that reguire scouting skills and things went in two modes...slow and stop.
So i decided to just work on swordsman...
Went to dantooine..
Grouped with my ATST
Got a mission for "vortor hunters"
I get to the mission there are 4 of the critters.
I mask scent and see...
You have gained 178 scouting XP
You have gained 178 scouting XP
You have gained 178 scouting XP
You have gained 178 scouting XP
Killed them all in short time and began to harvest
I see...
You have gained 978 scouting XP
You have gained 978 scouting XP
You have gained 978 scouting XP
You have gained 978 scouting XP
Did that for the next two "waves" from the lair...
All in all it was 13,872 scout xp from one lair.
All I could think was
WOW

Faster scouting xp. Maskscent and run around Yavin past lairs of red.
Faster harvesting xp. Get in a real group and takemissions, which you actually run as a group. The lairs go down quicker, and you get more harvesting xp, even at the reduced rate, as things are killed quicker. If you take basic missions on the harder planets (trick, everyone unarm, you get close missions) you can zoom through harvesting in a day.
Just two tricks. I never did the first, but group hunted all the time, and still do. Solo groups are good for cash runs.

umm....
Not knocking what you are saying but....
With buffs / armor and swordsman 0.1.1.1 - I soloed that lair in under ten minutes.
So thats ove 1k scout XP per minute.
Like I said I get what your saying - but smaller animals give much less xp - and sometimes take the same amount of time to kill.
And grouping - unless your hunting rancors with 20 people - I have yet to see lots of fast scout XP

If i remeber harvesting enhanced kwis in the geo cave give 2k per harvest and you only get 1 unit each.
Yeah yeah JB is right, you may take ten mins to take that lair down but thats a long time realy. Get in a good group or even get another hunter to help you. Go out and just race through the lairs youll be able to take the lairs in under 2 mins prety easily, i do that solo almost all the time. I spend more time traveling on my speeder than killing the damn things these days.
As before try the geo cave for 2k a harvest, get into a group and just kill those with people, get into a group and go rancor hunting, lair will go down in couple of minutes tops and youll get much more xp.
Also like JB said also, running around yav with mask on works very well esepcially with food, but watch out for anglers (i think thats them), they have powerfull noses

I agree that sometimes the lower level ones will get you xp faster - one-shotting the animal vs. spending a minute on it. But voritors are so much more satisfying then decay mites! I usually find that scouting xp goes faster in big groups just because I'm having more fun and not noticing how much xp I'm getting.

Run around, as swoops are too fast and stuff usually spawns in your wake.
On foot - stuff spawns around you, not just in your wake.
Memories of Yavin - pre-speeders - surrounded by red, cut off from the group, running screaming through the forest - and getting tons of xp doing so.

/mask or /conceal and go to the squill caves and run around...i got like 75k exp in 30 mins

Or get your guild mates in a group, conceal them aswell and all run around either on yavin or in squill cave
