1. Browsing through RiflemanI see they now have the skill cover up instead of conceal shot which allows them to "not appear on the radar" - funny i thought rangers were told we couldnt get that quite a while ago, hmm?

2. Zabrak equilibriunm does nothing but cost you health as far as i can see.

3. Elite professions arent allowed to us on TC5 because they havent even finished them yet!!

4. The icons are garish and bloody hard to distuinguish.

5. Low level mobs (thugs) do 400 damage per shot!!!!!

6. So far I am seriously underwhelmed!

That was almost the first thing I looked up when I logged in, the conceal shot comes in the next box as far as I remember. As I read it it realy takes you of the radar, but it also says that almost all normal actions take you out of it. So we have to wait until we level up to that point what it really does. If you truely disapear from the radar than I would like a DEV comment on it. Just a little oh well now we learned how to take someone of the radar, when you asked way back we weren't able too .

A post in the rifleman seem to beconfirming this. Cover remover person from radar. The Rifleman will now wonder if a Ranger (camo) would keep them invisible (aka as in real sniping).

Knowing nothing is set in stone yet, I still had to play around with the CU-version of character generator:

Master ranger + master rifle= 246 215 skill points,

leaving 4 unusable points (save the FS skills).

I was thinking of going for this on my alt, not sure any more.

Edit: Apparently already changed.

Yes, for the longest time it was said, unequivocally: "The Devs will never allow this to happen!"... regarding player removal from radar in regards to our camo or stealth abilities.

In fact, the issue came up recently when the GCW corr suggested "stealth/radar removal" for the rebel factions. "Don't worry, radar removal will never happen".

Of course, I can't comment on how it functions as it's going to take a long time to level up to that point. But the skill description certainly describes it as such.

Right. but they aren't "unusable" Plan on using mine for FS skills or I could always pick-up pistols1 and carbines 1.

Well now that we see it can Happen... we need to push for Camo to do this. The excuses of it can't be done have been proven incorrect by thier own hands.

And last night we did test it. Go prone, type /cover (might have to do it a couple times, but you shaded out and dissapeared from the radar. furthermore I was able to crawl around.

The excuse was more along the "it's not worth doing as people could use packet-sniffers and get round the invisibility" which can be taken as a tacit admission that it can be done, just wasn't going to be done. (IMHO the company simply opted to take the shortest route to 'no', a lazy and damaging business practise in general but I won't go there.)

Now that we can see they have implemented it for Riflemen they have, as it were, shot themselves in the foot and have no excuse for not doing something 'similar' with cammo.

I don't think it is breaking NDA to say this was the subject of possibly one of the longest threads on the CU forum. We never got a developer response on that thread that I know of, so please go out and make yourself heard to reinforce the message.

Didn't you know we are rangers we are park rangers. They don't give us anything ever. We have camo, but oh no that can't work on PvP, well they did allow it to work to some degree with PvE except it breaks so often why use it. Gads how do you break camo, it must be mighty cheap camo and it rained when we weren't looking and suddenly presto-chano no camo. Mask Scent doesn't work against NPCs as if they had better smelling systems then wild animals do. Right.

We asked that camo should make us invisible to being on the radar, but oh no you can't do that because it makes us too powerful, and we aren't a combat profession any way (according to higher ups who obviously don't know a thing about true hunting or must never have served in the military because anyone who has would never make such a silly statement).

So now Rifleman get it but not Rangers. Don't get me wrong I like Rifleman and one of my Rangers is a Rifleman, but come on conceal should have taken you off the radar in the first place but even more so camo and maskscent should do that just as redically. Watch now, they will allow this with Rifleman but tell us we can't have it.

I sure hope the skill point cost does not remain as is.

I have Skill points tied up in force skills now I am not keen on dropping. Just to much effort to aquire the force skills I have.

If I could surrender the force skills for the XP and bank that for the future then the CURB as is would not bother me.

If this is so then it looks like Master Ranger and the trapping line are about to be surrendered.
