I'm on Sunrunner and I made Master Scout two nights ago and went to bed. Last night I got my 10k scout exp for Ranger novice and went looking for a Ranger to train me. 3 hours ,10 cities ,4 planets, and about 4k later I was still looking for a Ranger. I was using the Search filter using "Ranger" as my key word. No luck. I ended up caving in and going to the trainer on Talus and paying the 5k plust 6k for my first skill (which I had the exp saved up for).

So, whats the deal. Are Rangers really that rare?

Send me a tell. I will be on Corellia way out in the middle of nowhere.

I must admit that I have everything maxxed except camping and I am thinking of surrendurring the skills. I find that the advantages of Ranger over Scout are minimal and I know several people who have already abandoned Ranger.

Same problem on gorath, very few rangers, and those that I do find are novices and barely have anything to train. So basically after intermediate skills I've purchased every other one from NPC's. I've given almost 60k to that little NPC trainer in coronet and if I could kill him and take back my money I'd do it in a hearbeat that little thief..... But anyway, there is defenitely a lack of experianced rangers, it isn't a extremely popular class at the moment, however you'll find this problem in some of the weapons classes, and other more rare classes (chefs). Basically you may just have to bite the bullet and pay the NPC. Or if your on gorath and in coronet give me a tell and I can train you, I'm nearly a master. Any tip would be nice to help repay all that I've spent, but I never require a tip. Good luck on master ranger everyone!

i'm a ranger on radiant, happy to train anyone for free.

atm i have Wayfaring I-IV, Trapping I-IV, Bioscience I-III and Frontiering I.
i'll be working this week on frontiering, hopefully completing it by Friday (lol). Bioscience IV will take about 2 hours to get, so i'm focusing on the real time consumer.

Send me a /tell any time you need training. i'll spend all of my frontiering time on naboo, once that's done i'll be on lok for bioscience IV.

stick with the profession! new stuff is coming eventually, and already having master ranger you will just get it! new camps, traps, maybe /conceal back in. it's worth it.

Master Ranger/sniper Bloodfin (One shot ONE KILL)

I'm on Lowca - Tatooine, Bestine. I just got Novice Ranger last night. Luckily though I've been doing a lot of hunting and such since I got Master Scout, I have a little boost XP to all the level I skills. Still a long road ahead, though.

This is sort of besides the issue, but you would have had to pay the npc for the novice box anyway. Players can't train each other in any novice boxes, last I checked.

im on chilastra and i paid for almost all my ranger skills. i happened to be one of the few at the time i got novice. now, everytime i see someone with a ranger tag above their head, i ask them if they need training (even if the dont ask for it). not only does it help them if they need the skills, but it starts out a convo with a fellow ranger, and we swap stories, hunting spots, creature strategy etc.

Here on Corbantis, I've seen 2 rangers in total, both novice.

Guess I'll be making one trainer really happy.

On Ahazi, there seems to be a lot of high level rangers running around.

Just made Ranger last night, seemed like a perfect compliment to Bioengineer with the better mask scent and additional resources from harvesting - I must agree though, was only one Ranger on all of Naboo - fortunately, he was a huge help and started me on my way. Thanks Tyb!
