This has been bothering me for a while. The creature examine window is great, ijust wish i knew what this means. My guess is it has something to do with CH's being able to tame vicious creatures, never been a ch though.

No one really knows. I think it is one of the questions we sent off to the Devs sometime back, though. No answer yet...

It must be some secret statistic that has something to do with unlocking the FSCS, but no one is willing to comment. If we knew what ferocity was, then we would have all the secrets of the Jedi!

Ferocity is the key...

or maybe not...

HAHA maybe we should track some jedi, trap them then make them sit in our camps until they start talking

It's an indication of how likely they are to allow you to hug them, believe me, Rancors are NOT huggable - useful to know.

As a CH, I always fought with pets that had a fer higher than 3. Any of the pets I had with a lower fer always ran. The ones with at least 3 would stay until they were down to no health.

I danced with a rancor once, then I backhanded him and body slammed him. Yea, he wasn't too happy about that... Needless to say, I walked away 200 hides richer.

Seems you're lucky, rancors never return my calls - and they always want to sleep with you on the first date.

Rnager Calc here: My personal theory (nased on no Dev feedback) is that it measures how likely something is to run away from you once it gets low on HAM. On the correspondent forum, it is thought that it measures BAF, but I have a hard time believing that. I have noticed that the higher the ferocity of a creature, the more likely it is to stand toe-to-toe in a fight, rather than fleeing.
