It is a good combo, complimenting each other well.

hehe

i think they are pretty common.

I am starting to think that everyone is either Rifleman/Ranger or CH/Ranger.

Im even one better, im a Rifleman/Ranger with Novice CH so i can have my two pets!! I gave up my ranged support benefits to keep CH.

Personally i much prefer having pets than a warning shot !!!!

Me!

Thought it was great combo... but letting go of some of my Ranger skills because I feel that CH is not enough to do battle properly. So I need some pistoleer skills.

But I still consider myself a man of the wild!

Ranger / Pistoleer

I think Ranger ishard with rifle because of the mobs with 10k ham bars and the need to be at long range with rifle - outside of trap throwing range, and the need to be prone with rifle.

With pistol I can stay on my feet or throw traps from kneeling. If I trap the animal and want to kneel for 50 meter firing I can do it in one move with rollshot, then if I need to move I just use kip-up shot if I can spare the action cost.

Please post your rifle ranger tactics for the Galactic Ranger Handbook!

I just recently got my self Riffleman, so I can't really answer you on that Ypiana.

But when I solo greater desert womp rats and the like (I know they aren't 10k HAM, but I'm still a "newb" so won't try to solo a mountain squill.), I simply trap it so it's rooted, falls to my knees and aim for the mind poll, first with a mind shot, and then heat shot. My riffle is not firing fast, but when doing 1k-3k it gives some extensive damage... I know, it sometimes only do 300-500 on greater desert womp rats... but sometimes I become lucky and pull a shot like that of.

When traps stop working, and it's after you, burst run like hell was after you, and make sure to be around 60m in front of it, and use hills to make sure it stays that way. At some point after a little chasing the rat turns around, charge down hill, and stand still at 50m (when you shoot it will be around 55-60m) and on to it again.

It's not working everytime, but I guess that is the best way of doing things for me.

Master Ranger, Carbineer (0-4-0-1), Novice TKA (1-1-1-2)

Always used carbines due to the primo range being inline with traps max range...got sick of the pounding I'd take when the Sharnaff I'm shooting decides to teleport onto my head, so I've picked up some melee skills...so far so good. Dislike pets, as they mangle my harvesting....

Pistoleer/Ranger/ranged support specialist, been a great combination, haven't found many things i can't kill. I tend to avoid creatures with ranged attacks however.

Master Ranger, Pistoleer, Medic, very Novice CH

After a long argument with myself, I decided I need a tank. I want to get a decent level, so I grabbed CH and will go at least one box into it, for now anyhow. Things change.
