Well, on Friday i did the Secret of the Syren part 4, and I now have my most favorite weapon ever (based totally on looks).

The Special Ops Bola Carbine. Looks like an old WWII Rifle.

and by the way, if you haven't been doing the Secret of the Syren story arc, than shame on you. it's been loads of fun so far, and part 4 has been the best yet. there is this huge estate on Rori that I was sent to. when i got there, i found that the Black Sun Thugs had placed a seige on the estate, and i was running around gardens and raised walkways killing off the Black Suns in order to free the inhabitants. felt really cool running and gunning around the outside of this place.

but here's a warning, the space part (at least the imperial part of it) is pretty tough.

So, are you just going to taunt us with having you new weapon or are you actuarially going to post a screenshot?

and yes Phenix, i realize that it says it's a modified Bothan Bola Carbine, but as it says, it had to be MODIFIED, since bothans can't make good guns, so we need to fix them up into a useable condition.

That does look nice. Very rangerish looking weapon. To bad the word Bothan is in that description, properly mean you have to be drunk.

and being the short little that i am, it's just the perfect size for me. That Fallen Hyper-Rifle is great, but it's about as tall as i am.

oh wow, that DOES look nice. Still not as nice as my LD-1 of course, but hey... i'll have to get it for my collection. Just need to round up a group to finish part 3, since Ranger + Rifles isn't exactly a cake walk to solo all those blackscale guards at the end of the 3rd chapter...

yeah, so far that Blackscale house is the toughest part of the whole story arc (assuming you're a good pilot)

the Black Sun's laying siege to the Rori Estate con Green and Blue for me as a CL80 toon.

and luckily that carbine isn't a Bio-Link item.

so if I started part 1 way back when but never finished it, can I still do up to part 4 as of now?

That gun looks awesome

I'm not so worried about pilot stuff anymore. Been spending a LOT of time in space after hitting an all time frustration point when I couldn't get into the Hunting Grounds at first a few months ago - decided to really get to piloting, and have gotten... a bit better. 4343 Black Epsilon pilot, soloed everything to this point, and only reason I've not mastered is casual play time - grinding out 1 million XP per box the first time around as a pilot is slow going, even just flying all over Endor space taking out Death Watch, Black Sun, and whatever else I happen to find, so I'm just pacing myself through it and helping some friends get up to that point to. TONS of fun tho - so I definitely look forward to some challenging space stuff.

At least with that, I know that *my* skill as a pilot can make the difference in a tough mission. Not much I can do as a Ranger on the ground when my CL actually puts me at a disadvantage facing mobs that con at or below my level, but are actually much better than I am defense and offense wise...

yes you can. luckily they made this Story Arc differently than the Dead-Eye one from way back when.

when a new chapter is introduced, it does not remove the previous chapter. just keep going through all of the parts.

and for those wondering, judging by the conversation at the end of Part 4, this story arc is not over yet, which makes me happy, as this has been a really fun story arc so far.

hey, at least Bothans can make unique weapons. You know what you don't see? the Greedo special.

ask me why.

This is horrible! I return to find my new title on the forum is "Jedi". What's up with that? If they wanted to confer that I'm rare and learned, they'd make my title RANGER. and then make it camo colored.

ah, a fellow Black Epsilon pilot. hope you're enjoying it, i've heard that Black Epsilon is the toughest pilot profession to go through (dunno if it's true) but i know i really enjoyed it. and i still have my TIE Bomber i used to level all the way to Ace.
