I'm 3 boxes away from Master Rifleman and due to my very strange work hours lately, I haven't been able to hunt with my usual group and have been trying to solo for those last few boxes. Sure, I look for groups, but if none are around I need to find something to hunt by myself. The bad part of being so high in the trees is that most of the stuff I can solo pretty easily now only gives me 1 exp (which is rediculous). I had been hunting snorbals on Lok but folks tell me they were nerfed (how so?).

so what I need to find is some higher level non-BAF targets (to use conseal shot on)... or some higher level kite-able mobs (slower than us). Any suggestions? I don't care about money from missions... just hoping to knock out those last boxes in my limited play time.

Non-BAFs?

Hmmm.. Well, you can try for Sharnaffs. The Bulls bring friends though, so avoid those.

Also, Tortons. Same with the Bulls though.. they BAF.

The problem is though is you may find yourself wasting time to find them. The good thing is they are not on any advanced planets. Both Tortons and Sharnaffs are common to Corellia, but give awesome XP. Tortons are slow, so easily kited. Sharnaffs are a tough fight solo to be honest.

I hope that helps.

One of my favorites are Talusian Torturs. They look like tortons, but they are slightly weaker and do not BAF. You can attack a bull with another bull standing right next to it. You can find them in the greener parts of Talus.

I have never seen Tortons on Corellia, you sure about that? Sharnaffs (the few I actually fought) didn't bring friends last I check. They didn't need to, actually (don't recommend doing those solo). Gronde are like Snorbals for Corellia, but are somewhatrare. I do know a few places they seem to show up a lot in, however Look out for War Gronde in the group, you will have to take him first. DO NOT try that alone if there is more then one, unless you are a Master Doc and can really buff yourself.

Usually I do explore missions for Violent Krahbu (red on 'dar) and Tabbage. I can find them easier. Depends on what resource is good.

I've never seen a torton on corellia, which is my home planet. I guess it's possible there are differences between galaxies, but on valcyn tortons are found on Rori. Like my above post explains, Torturs, a weaker torton knockoff, can be found on Talus.

Sharniff Bulls and Turton Bulls do not BAF...if you shoot the regular Sharniff and regular Turtons in the group first...the Bulls will come. If there are multiple Bulls..yes they will both come. Best thing to do is seperate the bulls...if you can get a bull solo...the others will not come.

I think you're right Fred. I don't think there are any Tortons on Corellia. I always get the two planets confused, since I spend nearly all my time on either planet. Sorry about the bad info.

To clarify though..

The Sharnaffs don't BAF. You are right about them, they are tough. I guess soloing with a pet isn't really soloing.I think it's the same for Tortons. I never tried to solo a Torton Bull though. I tried to solo a Sharnaff Bull with a 5k HAM pet, and it went ok. I got incapped once, but with 2 people with pets it goes well. Now that they "adjusted" warningshot and suppression fire, I wouldn't even try to solo either of them. They usually incap me in 2 hits.

Grondas I don't know anyone who can solo them. They are a tough fight.

On corellia, there are humbaba's in the Northeastern area.

They go about 4000 hp, get about 700 to 900 rifle xp apiece.

May not be as big as you need. But they worked wonders for me.

"Sharniff Bulls and Turton Bulls do not BAF...if you shoot the regular Sharniff and regular Turtons in the group first...the Bulls will come. If there are multiple Bulls..yes they will both come."

- The concept of "Bring A Friend" is sort of reverse of how the system actually works.

- The attacked creature doesn't "Bring a Friend"...

- Rather, the creatures around it comesthe attacked creature'sassistance.

- So by this logic:

  1. Regular Sharnaff and Torton do not assist each other

  2. However the Bullswill assistif any nearby related creature is attacked

I don't think Sharnaffs are anywhere in mission terms.

I am at work, and not in-game, but you can reliably find Sharnaff and Sharnaff Bulls aroundthe area of Kor Vella.

What I usually do is get right to the shuttle port in Kor Vella, and head out from the shuttle port. I wish I knew the directions off the top of my head, but I am not so good at remembering stuff as pointed out by my fellow Rangers.

Sharnaff's are easily found NE of Coronet. I solo those puppies all the time. You need to go after the bulls first. Once those are gone go after the rest. If anyone wants to go on a Sharnaff hunt give me a tell ingame. I go every day. The bulls give a lot of weapon xp, 2500-2800, and give 400-600 scout xp.
