I'll never tell. Not in public anyway.

The problem is, if you're not on Valcyn, you're resources aren't gonna be the same as ours.

And just so nobody thinks I'm not a helpful guy, I sent via email. Don't wanna tip off the Armorsmiths spies lurking 'round here.

isn't a wooly hide the same no matter what animal you get it from?

If I kill a giant dalyrake on talus right now I get the same scaley hide as when I kill a dung mite.

Since there are only a few types of hide, wooly leathery and bristly wouldn't you just have to kill a small creature to sample the skins and see for yourself?

Maybe I am wrong and haven't noticed

Not necaserrily wrong. I have noticed some things. Let's take Durni for example.

Before the shift on Bria. Durnis were giving Wooley Hide (Recir). It was junk.

Crazed Durnis were giving Igorvola (sp), and it was supreme.

Same goes for Naboo currently. Peko Peko had Wooley with an OQ of something in the high 800's, while other creatures were giving out much worse Wooley.

Anyway, I think there are two types of each at any given time. I don't recall if the same applies to Bone and.or Meat.

I will say one thing for Bria. The quality of the Carnivore Meat on Endor right now if jaw dropping. PE is 1000. Never saw a straight 1000 before.

Hard to say. It seems to me that there may be up to 2 different types of each hide/meat/bone on a planet during any given resource cycle, but not necessarily 2. A week and a half ago, there were 2 types of leathery hide and 2 types of animal bones on Talus on my server. Then it shifted, andthere was 1 leather, 1 animal bone, 1 scaley hide, and 1 bristley hidetypefor everything I killed on the entire planet. Recently it shifted again, and now the only resource that's the same as before is the animal bone. Everything else is new. Just something I've noticed.

I'd happily tell you guys where to find it, but unless you're on Valcyn during this resource shift, it doesn't matter.

All resources, including Hide, meat and bone, vary from server to server. What's happening currently on my server has absolutely no relation to what's happening on your server.

Moreover, all hide, meat and bone changes from planet to planet every week or two. One day Corellian Wooly can be supreme, three days later it's junk.

I know it's not realistic, but HMB shifts just like minerals and chemicals do. If it didn't, it would take everyone two weeks to find all of the good stuff and nobody would ever hunt anything else. We'd all be standing in line, waiting to take our turn whacking the 5 good lairs in the galaxy. I think it's better this way. You're actually hunting around for the quality HMB.

And although I saw someone posted otherwise, it's been my experience that a particular resource type is exactly the same on a planet no matter which critter is dropping it. If you're on Talus, for example, the Insect Meat from a Dalyrake is exactly the same as the Insect Meat from a Rot Mite.

I disagree with that. I agree with legacy that there seems to be two types of HMB. But the better ones seem harder to find. Anyway... resource shiftsreally screw me up. the last 2 resource shifts gave me awesome carnivore meat on talus. but now it's total crap.

blargh

you are missing the points of the resource shifts guys.

I personally, as a ranger love it.

At the moment, im on naboo getting good avian meat!

Next week, ill be on ednor or some place like that getting good wooly hides.

ITs the best part of the game. I hunt all week, well until the resouces shift, then ill spend a couple days travelling around seeing what is good, then when i find something i like i will stay on the planet and harvest that until the shift again.

This works real well for me.

Another tip, get yourself several Military Packs (the can be renamed) and sought out all your stuff by planet, i finally did this last night and i tell you it is truly amazing. I got 7 packs now all with resources soughted by planet. As a ranger this is vital. When i go to a specificplanet i grab the right pack etc. Eventually im trying to get alot of flora resources together so i can just add them to my packs as well, so you have the perfect set up for you to make traps, tents, and camo kits.

Im finding though, that docs are the ones you want to trade with. They arent tight ass like armour smiths and will pay good money for good stuff. There buffs are expensive to buy as well, like armour, but at least you get a good return for your effort. Currently selling some avian meat for 10 per to 2 different docs!

I got a tell the other day saying that he would by my Wooly hides fro 2.5 per, OQ was 890, hehe i had to laugh at the one!!

If you want, we can group, (120% resouces) and we can split the credits.

Ive got a couple doctors that im trying to feel orders for, or if you want i can give you the name of one of em and you can feel that order for me if you like. They both need 10k plus of avian meat and im generally selling for 10 per (partly becuase i know em, could charge more if i wanted)

if you need the work that is, send me a tell ingame!
