Thread: One more GRM for the road?

The title says it all really. I was just curious if we should have one more Meet before the CU hits the live servers or have one after. Personally, I think it would be a good way to send the old system packing.
What do you think sirs?

Ilike the idea, but with TC down we'd have to hit Wanderhome. Also Owen and folks on TC have pulled out the stops gearing up for a GRM on the mothballed TC.

If we do it 'twere best done quickly. Our main Doc Obata's account ends in two weeks. I am staring at this post wondering whether to let him say why, if he wants, or go off on my own bitter tirade.

Apparently it is the opinion of the developers and many players that the reason few doctors are currently involved in combat is because they require consumamble meds, and therefore cannot be truly effective healers.
Obviously, having seen Obata in action at the last Great Ranger Meet I disagree.
I am extremely saddened by his leaving the game. I think his leaving, as well as the other Doctors of his calibre who are leaving because of this change in playstyle, is a loss to the community and the game.

Grrr, stupid Devs not listening to smart Docs. I hope they wise up soon. They are losing some great players over this.

obata-- don't leave until the CU hits live. We saw in both Beta 3 and JtL beta, a lot of the biggest/best changes hit in the last week of testing. I don't think they'll listen to docs...but it's always worth waiting for. I'm gonna miss hanging with ya...won't miss that /whap macro through...

I think we both know the dev's attitude on the healing changes. They've obviously already made the decision to sacrifice the existing healers in favor of the fantasy MMORPG healing crowd. If I thought there were any chance that it would change, I would not have canceled. I'm continuing the fight, but in truth, it's already been lost.
