So I hear that the Black Sun NPCs drop the BH armor that is necessary to craft Mandalorian armor. I have also heard that they are on Yavin, and now I saw reports of Endor. Where are they? Both planets? Also, do any of you have regions where you have seen them? Just curious .

They are near the Ewok tree fort near 0,0 on Endor. Careful though, there are also some DeathWatch guys and a Super Battle Droid that lurk around that same area.

Nah im pretty sure they WERE there. WERE being the word you need to take notice of.

As far as im aware they have supressed the spawns of these guys until the patch on the 25th (dw bunker) as people were getting mini publish loot things before the minipublish went live.

Must of been a mistake forgetting to remove black suns etc from the spawn table

I've had luck finding them within 1000m of the Geo cave on Yavin 4. Look in the dark green area of the map. Also I've heard reports that they spawn west of the Mining Outpost on Yavin 4, try looking up the costline in that direction.

I heard the Death Watch NPCs were warping themselves to 0,0. Bug. I saaume it has been fixed since the post I read it in has been deleted!

Suddenly the reason someone was trying to track Black Sun NPCs becomes clear...

Hi - I've noticed that weird things tend to spawn near 0,0 myself as well -- for example, I was on Tatooine the other day and I came across a Tuskan something-or-other (one of the 240k ham ones that are supposed to spawn around fort tuskan), and I've come across various Geomobs (droids and beasties from thecave)near 0,0 on Yavin as well.

My guess is that there might be a bug in the spawn system that sticks these guys at 0,0 instead of where they are supposed to be. I haven't run across any black sun mobs yet, though I haven't really been looking for them.

I helped locate some of the Black Sun on Endor this weekend. I dont have the exact Wp, but I found multible spawns in the mountains NW of the research outpost in the lower right corner of the map. I made some good monkey tracking, and the guy I helped ended up with six pieces of armor

The ones near 0,0 on Endor were, to the best of my understanding, warping there due to a bug. However, you can find them on Endor but your best bet is Yavin in the NW region of the map. At least this is how it is on Test Center, I have no idea how much of the Black Sun/BH armor code is currently active on the live servers.

To make the armor you need:

1) BH armor pieces that drop from Black Sun NPCs. This armor is very nice on its own. It is very similar to Composite/RIS (its vulnerable to Stun, Heat, and Acid I believe). It has no special protections, just base resists, but those resists average around 30% but drop as high as 90% resists to all except vulnerabilities. Anyone can wear this armor.

2) Special components you obtain from within the DW Bunker itself

3) An Armorsmith, Tailor, or DE depending on which parts you want to make. You have to take that crafter along with all the components to need to a special crafting room in the DW Bunker. The crafter then feeds a droid the parts needed and you either get the armor, or the process fails and you get ejected from the Bunker.

Getting the BH armor pieces is probably the easiest part to all of this since, as far as I'm aware, no one has been able to make it far enough into the DWB on Test to make the rest. You simply need a ton of people in perfect coordination to pull it off.

Thanks for the info. I'm not sure I like the idea of failing on this. It seems a bit wrong to make players go all that way just to fail. As for making it to the crafting room, I'm guessing multiple groups will end up in there together on Live so it might make things a bit easier (I hope).

Right now, I am trying to coordinate with the PA Im in to try to find as much Black Sun armor as possible, I killed 24 black sun guys over the weekend, and I only got one piece.

This is when I wish I had waited an extra week ortwo before taking up SL. Idoubt I have anychance of soloing those guys anymore and it seems that most of my guild hasn't felt like logging on recently. And group looting is always fun with people you don't know. Eh, I'm sure I'll manage eventually. Although I think there might be some competition for the Mandalorian in my guild. I guess we'll just need lots of suits.

Well, we have no idea what the chance of failure is because no one has been able to make the stuff on Test. The problem is the devs seem to have tuned the difficulty of the Bunker assuming that it is going to be camped 24/7 on live servers. It is way beyond the Corvette in terms of difficulty. Imagine fighting 2 SBDs that are almost twice as hard as the Corvette ones, and a 4 minute respawn timer to boot. That happens in the bunker and it is a lot harder than that.

We had a diverse 20 person group go down there to see how far they could make it. They made it to the 3rd big room then all died O.o

Without people constantly down there camping, it will probably take 20 to 40 people to complete the dungeon depending on how knowledgable and coordinated the group is. Once this goes live and people are always down there, figure it will be more around Corvette difficulty *while it is camped* and without bugs that let you defeat it easily(you can't walk past the npcs for example).
