I was in my Guilds main city on Naboo, when all of a sudden a group of 8 blue dots wizzed by all on swoops/speederbikes.

I quickly examined a few as they went by. the couple i saw, were wearing newb clothing, and had only 1 or two badges. and they all only had 1 word names.

Now, this city is a big Player city, and is an Imperial player city, so seeing 8 blue dots all go by, not overt, or wearing armor, or anything was pretty odd. So my suspiscion was raised. And i had read several threads on my server forum about strange sightings like this. 8 players, all in newb clothing and all with very few badges and usually the same badges. so i had a hunch.

well, i was talking to a friend at the time, but i said, i had a hunch i knew what they were up to, so i called my AV21 and sped off in the direction they left. after going a few hundred meters i stopped to track. Nothing.

I go further, track again, nothing. So i continue on a little ways more.

JackPot! they were 8 players, with a few names i recognized from moments ago. i followed the trail. went to where they should be, they werent there. so i tracked again. ah, they were on the move. about 300m away in a different direction now. So i go to that spot.

Not there. Man these guys are moving, i think to myself. So i track again, and they are closer now. about 120m away. Then i see them. and, i've started to notice high level mobs on my radar, with no lairs around. hmmmmm

When i pull up one of them is speeding away from a flag, dragging the lvl80 or so npcs away, and then another one shoots the flag. And, another few of them were doing the same thing about 50meters away. then they move on all together. Bam, same thing. But then i notice two lvl40+/- toons never get off their bikes, and are following one guy.

ah ha! Bots! They must being using those two just to get more missions for the group. So i put myself on /follow. and start examining them and writing down their names. some of them are master marksman, and the 3 lvl80s are all Master Rifles/Carbineer/Marksman. interesting ain't it? oh, and they all have 1 or 2 poi badges. all the same. (figured they just got them by accident running missions)

So. i posted in the Customer Service thread, and in my server thread. And am thinking about PM'ing Tiggs, or doing a ticket.

So what do you guys think? Am i crazy?

nope, you should do it. Also, warn the mayor of the town they're pulling misisons from and have them city ban the lot of them.

my town on Eclipse had the same problem, and we banned the lot of them.

This is horrible! I return to find my new title on the forum is "Jedi". What's up with that? If they wanted to confer that I'm rare and learned, they'd make my title RANGER. and then make it camo colored.

Happens a lot it seems. Not sure if you can do anything about it, since someone controls all those players and probably pays for them. Perhaps something will be done about it though, never know.

These are penny by the hour chinese credit farmers, making some white punk ass american rich by playing SWG all day long and selling credits by the million to upper middle class punks who think they are above the rest of us and should be entitled to flash around their illigitimate funds anytime they like. Our town was banning them, but they'd come back either with another set of characters on the same account or a different set of accounts. There have to be hundreds of them out there running missions with like 4 workstations, 1 primary TK or pikeman or something who goes and takes out level 80 NPC mission lairs and leaves all the NPC's. We banned at least 10 groups from our city, and finally we just gave up on being an Improved Job Market and changed to research center.

You've encountered some Chinese Farmers, what do you want to do?
1. ignore them
2. say hello
3. attack them
4. ban them

At least option 4 makes it so they can't pull missions from your terminals anymore.

Meanwhile, the real rangers are running around tracking cloaked Jedi and getting sabered, what fun.

On topic, I have taken to just reporting anything that even looks suspicious. I have heard of huge gatherings of bot groups for ebay credit-farmers, and one guy reported them and every account got banned, in total over 40 accounts. So reporting is effecive I guess.

We have a huge problem with this on Dantooine on Sunrunner right now - I've been areatracking them as well as they get kicked out of neighboring cities...they inch closer to mine...

They're credit farming on NPC missions - killing the lair and moving out .... selling the credits on eBay...

Our city on Dantooine on Wanderhome has had the odd group of credit farmers wander by. I thought of them as credit grinders...it never dawned on me they were credit sellers (what a noob). The militia just city bans them, but maybe they need to throw in a report as well. I will let them know.

That is wild, I've heard of similar things and money exchange services in other MMOs but nothing like that.

And to even think someone pays hundreds of dollars a month for crazy amounts of swg accounts (someone said 40 above??), scares me. It's nuts where some money goes in this world.
