My cities current mayor is leaving the game so we have a new guy coming in to take his place.

My question is that if our new mayor has registered to run against our current one, can the current may just drop Politcian there-by making him inelidgeble to be mayor and giving all his votes to the new guy or will this not work?

Thanks for any info!

Even if the incumbent drops politician, he's still seen as the incumbent mayor. So if you want to get a new guy in, all your citizens had better get to the ballot box to vote for the new mayor.. or you're going to be stuck with a Lame Duck.

Have him send an e-mail a day to "citizens" with an uppercase topic saying something like, "SWITCH YOUR VOTES!!"

The more he sends that e-mail out, the faster people will get to the ballot box and switch their votes.

The problem is, people will remain citizens of your city, regardless of whether or not they even still live there, or live in another city. You have to say, "regardless of whether or not you still live within the city, please come to the city hall and change your vote."

I just recently had this problem.... difficult. We gave our city on Tatooine to another guild and relocated to Naboo... so get this, we had 70ish residents relocate and only 50ish move in with the new guild... I was still winning after their last citizen moved in. Talk about frustrating. I had to have everyone from my guild go back and change their vote....
