Our city now has 36 peeps, and has passed the city advancement phase last night, we are now classed as a 'township' but we are not listed on the map... What am I missing?

It does not happen automatically, you need to Register the city on the planetary map once you have trained the appropriate Politician skill.

The option will appear on your City Management Terminal.

Yeah, there's an option on the city management terminal. Also note it adds 5k credits to the cities weekly maintenance.

i had this same problem... contacted a CSR and they said wait for server reset, and poof! a CSR was right for once
