Correct me if I've misunderstood, but new candidates are only supposed to be allowed to enter the election as a candidate during the first 2weeks of an election cycle. The 3rd week is supposed to be locked down with no one able to enter or leave the race. During my last election cycle I saw at least one if not two enter the race during the third week-one was right on the border line, the other was 3 days before the election took place. Can anyone verify this?

It's a bug. It's not supposed to happen like this, but a Novice Politician can continue to register for the election up until the actual update.
