Thread: I have a question about City ban..

We've baned these people from the city, and they wheren't able to pull missions anymore ect. but they came back a few days later and now are able to. Can some one explaine this to me? do you have to ban them every day or is there some exploit to get around it that there useing? Or is city band just broken? Sorry if this questions come up a billion times.

It is permanent until someone /citypardon 's them, but it only stops them using civic structures - it does not stop them from coming to your city, only from accessing your shuttleport, cloning centre, bank and city hall.
They can still ride in and trashtalk your citizens, which is a mayorannoyance as a mayor!
What you really need is /citywarn which was available in the early days and let you chase people out of town - anyone in the militia could attack them after 30 seconds! Alas, it was taken out of the game

well see the problem is we have a group of people grinding money missions out of the city, and what they do is kill the mission and drive off draging the kungs, janta, mokks ect. all over the place tried asking them to finish there missions but they wouldnt even respond to tells so we baned them, it wouldn't be sucha big deal but we have noobie jedi grinding in the city all time and its pretty annoying not being able to do anything about these people.

/cityban is supposed to keep them from using the terminals as well, since they are civic structures.

Once a player is /cityban it is supposed to last until the mayor or a militia member /citypardon them, regardless of how long of a span of time that is. They should not be able to use city services while /cityban. If they are (and no one has pardoned them), I would suggest a /bug report as well as a CSR ticket because it should not happen.

We had a problem with people that we banned suddenly turning up unbanned the next day somehow. What I think was going on was that one of the original citizens that changed faction had a house in the city and would let them all declare residence in it, which would clear the cityban...I think... It was a long time ago and I wasn't mayor time so this is what I pieced together from what was said at the time.
