Thread: Footprint Question, Factional Bases

As a City Designer, I've had questions come up surrounding Factional Bases....

Now first things first, all the deeds 'as is' are 9x9 lots on the map, and take 6 lots.

My question is this, does adding Turrets, Mines, Scanners increase the 'active' footprint?

The reason I ask is our current base, a forward outpost, measured a weird approxamite circule of 16x16, and a nearby deatachment headquarters looked to be 12x27...it was hard to look as there may have been camps/lairs nearby.

Can anyone confirm any of this or help me out?

I've spoken with some other citydesigners and they have been as equally as hesitant to drop theirs. I did a long tiring search through the 53 pages of 'base' search on the forums and then themain page (as unhelpful as that was) as well.

- I did post this to the GCW as well incase someone there didn't read over here.

We have placed mulitiple HQs in our city and we have found that adding turrets/minefields DOES NOT add to the footprint. When you first place the bases, the initial footprint is fairly small, but as soon as it is placed, the footprint expands to about 9x9 squares in a circle.
