Hey yo
Farpoint (Metropolis, 94 residents, Research Center)
I have a challenger. First I was angry, because it was so obvious with him being settled in and taking a registration 2 minutes after, but well, thats the new system.
Last night we had a debate, a one-on-one battle of the words. That event was quite good, residents and guests were very interested and asked questions each candidate had to answer on with a time limit.
After the debate the current voting is: 20 for incumbent and 2 for the Candidate.
Farpoint Valley (City, 60 residents, Medical Center)
Some more residents settled in and the city is getting a nice shaped layout. The new settlers are bustling with activity to get their houses decorated to the surrounding standards and beyond. I cant wait to se the Hotel and Gambling Hall opening.
All in all: A very active and satisfying week...and on we go

New Kabala, Lok, Lowca.
Been a while since i posted an update here.
We currently are a level 3 city. Finally have our cloner, med center, planetary map registration, and city specialization. after discussions with citizens, we decided to make New Kabala an improved job market. many of us use mission terminals to pull missions for things like Gurks, Nym Pirates, ect, and this is aHUGE help for the mission payouts.
Now that Publish 13 is live, I intend on redecorating city hall, to utilize all of the new items i can place in it. The cantina will need a revamp as well.
Myself, as well as many of my citizens are excited about the player event perks, and are already in a planning stage for a capture the flag game with a rebel guild i am friends with. hopefully these perks will bring more life to player owned cities, and will increase the amount of player events.

Well Stargate celebrated its One Year Anniversary on Saturday the 12th and the player event we hosted was a HUGE success.
We started off with entertainment by The Groove Armada (Entertainer Guild - located in the City of Soul on Naboo - Wanderhome). Raffle tickets were sold for 2 raffles - the largest raffle was a 1 million credit giveaway.
We then hosted a fashion show - more fireworks and music.
Ended up having about 80 people there in the city and cantina so was a very cool way to celebrate our one year anniversary.
Working on getting our Town Hall redecorated - put up a Theater this week. AFLAC is turning their guild hall into a museum.

Citizenship has risen once again which is always nice. Otherwise things were a little quiet this week, despite the 17th Storytelling Evening. Perhaps it was the theme 'Love is in the air' that put them off
\#00CCFF\City Planning\#.
Nothing new to report other than I've had to ask someone to take over updating the map for me due to limited time.
There does appear to be a bug with reclaiming lots on the PA halls. One of our PA leaders reclaimed the lot and was dropped off the citizenship list which meant he had to redeclare and I had to add him to militia again. This wasn't the case reclaiming a lot on a large house.
\#00CCFF\Commerce\#.
Some new people have expressed interest in setting up businesses in arenas we don't already cover, I still dream of day when you can buy everything you want from the Tirius Commercial District.
\#00CCFF\Council\#.
Suffered two blows this week. Our plotline co-ordinator has been lured away to WOW and as his wife is playing there he can't really justify staying in swg. Also, RL just continues to get in the way of gaming as the Head of the Tirius Embassy has had to step down.
Also, for the first time ever someone is running against me on the mayoral ballot, an Imperial officer no less. So far I am winning 22-4. 2 weeks to go so fingers crossed that this does not swing the other way.
The tourist office is seeing some more activity at the moment and I am hoping that this will encourage others to come forward as tourist officers for tours and the like.
\#00CCFF\Events\#.
Storynight was one of the quietest ever, I am hoping that the attendance at the Blushes of Love II party this Saturday is better. We have an Imperial story arc kicking off in a week or so which will last for 3 weeks, should prove interesting for people.

Rauha, Naboo (Starsider)
Been a long time since I posted an update here. There hasn't been a huge need to post a week-to-week update, though, since Rauha is still going strong asa Metropolis with 95 residents. We've added a couple of exotic gardens, as well as faction terminals for our citizens (placed far enough away from the center of town to hopefully avoid any factional conflicts).
We're currently planning on a Trade Fair/Crafter Competition idea that's been percolating in my mind for a couple of months now, but details are sketchy right now. I've personally been going to school and just started a new job, so it's hard to find time to plan in-game events. However, I'll be getting on that soonest.
Other than that, we've steadily been adding in new crafters/merchants, to replace the people who have been disappearing off our roster. And we have had some happy returns of some citizens whom I thought had departed to the Great After-SWG, and who seem enthusiastic about playing the game again.
We had a huge turnout for a town-oriented krayt hunt, tonight, andI think that bolstered some town pride as we took down dragon-after-dragon. Was a lot of fun for the non-uber-combatants in the group, and those of us with more experience and firepower were gratified in helping protect those that weren't as combat-ready.

Solace, Dantooine
Current Mayor: Chasity
Citizens: 113
Mos Tera, Tatooine
New Mayor next week: Destinee
Citizens: 100
It has been quite the hectic week in Solace. Recently we had a guild pull out due to the upcoming changes in the GCW. Some of the guilds mates have decided to stay in Solace as it is a very nice jedi leveling area.
We were offered aRank 4 City on Tatooine which of course we did accept. So, now i have my main (Chasity) and one of my alts (Destinee) both as mayors. We've already gotten the new city Mos Tera back to a Rank 5 however there is ALOT to be done in this city. And i thought Solace had a bunch of funky landscaping to work around
Other then the moving around atm there isn't to much to really report. Just trying to please all 213 of my citizens now

MASC-SUN City, Tatooine (Bloodfin) 'the city by the krayt graveyard' ...
118 citizens and one of the most active places for pve, pvp and commerce lately it seems .. with 20+ people in the city just about every time i log in...
just a FYI for people wondering .. the krayt population increase, our town seemed to have no affect on it at all ... PLENTY still spawned .. including an ancient that spawned in the city near the shuttleport ... that was an interesting day... what did seem to affect the spawn tho were people dropping imp and reb bases so those npc's could help with them killing krayts .. will see after the restart today if they still spawn ok or if the bases still affect the spawn.
got hit with a garage bug after relocating the garage, it showed up on city terminal as nul30000 instead of saying it was a garage, and none of the CSR suggested fixes resolved the problem. hopefully the reboot will take care of that as well
abandoned structrues. this town is over ran with them. it was a dying city that i took office in and brought it from 53 people to the current 118 people in a few weeks work ... but a majority of the 'good' space is taken by structures that belong to people that left the game a while ago and have no intentions on returning to the game ... this is VERY annoying .. esp when you are doing a town on a rough terrain ... housing placement can be hard ...

Hello, this is my first time posting on the politician forums..and I'm so excited to be finally doing so. I am the Mayor of Rohal Cross, Rori, Flurry. We've just announced ourselves on the Flurry forums on Sunday, Feb. 6th when we hit Metropolis! A little about our journey before this.
Rohal Cross grew up from the guild MeS, when we decided we needed to move from our current city Mos Syn, Tattooine. We had some problems with Imperial Residents popping up, and things beyond our control, as our Mayor was no longer in the guild. So, after the mayor asked someone to take over the town because of leaving for a short time, a short 3 week election period, the current mayor placed himself in the running(decided to come back) and won the election. This of course was great, as we were free to move our guild asap.
After much scouting for a good location, we chose Rori, as many of the planets were shuttle capped. Rori was not everyone's first choice, but we found a great spot just southwest a bit from the Rebel Outpost. Plenty of flat land to build a new home. So, the day come to move, we had a guild meeting that day, then we took a trip to Rori. I placed the city hall, everyone placed their houses per my ultimate city plan--I came across a few challenges in planning the city with lots, and lots of puddles to navigate around.
We kept our growth as much of a secret as possible, not placing structures that would show up on the map, etc. We had guild members only in the city, and we grew every week to the next update. When we got to level 4, we waited to place a shuttle til level 5, which was of course supposed to happen the following week. Well, we missed the count by 15 citizens, ugh! But, everyone pulled together, and we made it to Rank 5 the following week.
All is going well in town. We are 93 citizens strong! We have a mall with tons of vendors, a cantina(not quite full of entertainers all the time, but working on it). We have taken the Research Center specialization right now, as we are working on getting our mall some business, so we are supporting our crafters/merchants.
MeS is of course the only guild in town, and we are very much going to be a part of the CU when all takes affect. We have always been a PVP guild primarily, and we are working towards having more of that in Rohal Cross too. It's really exciting to make a fresh start, and aside from a total of 4 surprise structures as we were going, the transition went well
I love being Mayor, and enjoy just hanging out in town, getting to know everyone, and welcoming our visitors. I'm excited to be a part of something so wonderful as a new home for so many people.

Associated PA's: Clan Moor, Lost Order of Akalabeth, Several Unguilded citizens.
What we've been up to:
New Haven has been going along quite nicely since it was founded. Dedicated City Council Members and freindly, Helpful citizens assure that everything runs smoothly.
Lately, we've been having a debate over wether or not to allow non citizens to place a vendor in our mall. We arent short of any trades or quality, but some think it would add to our diversity and add to the number of people who visit us on a regular basis.
As a rule, we've always considered placing a vendor in the mall as a citizen perk. But we're not so close minded that we can't debate things and change if our citizens want it.
Been having a bit of trouble lately with jedi hunters breaking the no PvP within city limits rule. Anyone who initiates PvP within the city is banned for a set period of time if the incident is proven. Repeat offenders are perma banned. This is also a topic of discussion on our council. Banning only does so much. The citywarn feature would have been nice if the greifers hadn't ruined it, so we're trying to come up with something to augment current city policy with existing game mechanics.
Politician since day 1 and still lovin it
