Since people want to flame a valid point the other post got deleted. Do not flame or troll here. No reason for it. This a issue that many people are having, so treat it with some respect. THAT GOES FOR EVERYONE.
Im growing more and more aggravated with the new maintenance rule with it being taken out of your bank.
This is why.
It started about this tent that i have in my city that was left there once player A was removed from our guild. She left it there for a friend of hers (player B) that was still in the same guild. Well the removal of Player A had ticked off Player B for quite some time, and caused problems in the guild for about 5-6months after the fact. He was then removed for those problems. He is not longer a citizen of the city, but keeps putting maintenance in the tent. A CSR was contacted, and he was told not to put any more money into the tent. Thought the problem was solved there.
Here is the problem, the orginal owner was a successful architect that has not played in over a year. With the new rule that the money will come out of your bank now, this tent will stay there forever, and that simply cannot happen. This tent and a few others are empty in our city. I need these structures to decay so we can get people in here to have new tents to sell their wares.
There is virtualy no tax money coming in now because out of the 13 tents that we have in the merchant square, only 5-6 are active because people have just quit or are just not selling stuff anymore.
Its really not fair that a mayor works hard to organize his city, and then people just quit and not pick up their structures. This is not fair to the citizens of the city where they live because we then CANNOT replace those structures with someone that will have things to sell on vendors because of the city layout.
Basically under this new system that was implemented, all structures will stand until that person runs out of money in the bank, and everyone else has to suffer because we have to wait til that happens, would could at least take 18 months as with this merchant tent.
I have another merchant tent that has stood for at least 10 months since the guy quit the game, he even left it on his tent sign that he quit.
Something has to be done about this, as its a serious issue.
I had thoughts of making merchant tents a City item only, and having the mayors be able to place them only as well. The merchant tents would not be able to be picked up if if there are vendors inside, but if youse vendors poof, then the mayor holds the right as organizer of the city to pick up that tent, or put other people on the admin list to place other vendors in there. Also give the mayors the right to name the structres at any time in case that such of a thing happens.
Please discuss if you have had simular problems, and please add any suggestions that you guys may have.
I have sent in numerous tickets, and have gotten the same answer, that they will not remove structures. How does this able a city to be successful and bring more citizens that play in if these structures (houses, factories, tents...ect) never decay until you literally run out of money?
