Thread: Multiple Cities with same Cycle Time and one spot
I have a city placed on naboo and 3 other competing cities have the exact cycle time as we do, down to the second. Since theres only one available spot left for stage 4 cities and above I was wondering how this was going to work. Does anyone have any idea? Is the city randomly chosen? Or maybe the city with the largest citizen count gets it. I'd like to hear some opinions on what might happen.
The person who placed thier city hall first will get the first update followed by the next person and so on.. .
The answer I got from the CSR in chat thisafternoon was "we will have to wait and see on that one"

ie;
Mayor #1 placed the city hall downat 12/16/2003 12:00:03
Mayor #2 placed the city hall downat 12/16/2003 12:00:04
Mayor #3 placed the city hall downat 12/16/2003 12:00:08
Mayor #4 placed the city hall downat 12/16/2003 12:00:15
Mayor #1 would win
I have a very difficult time believing that four mayors could all plant 4 city halls within milliseconds of each other. The odds of something like that happening is very slim imo. My guess would be that all city halls planted within a 30 minute to 1 hour period are all assigned similar cycle times. Something like that would make more sense.
I guess we'll just have to wait and see how it goes down.

actually, I think it depends on which is going to finish updating first and by that I mean which town the game completes the update and vote cycle first.. not the first to place of the group.
My town and my neighbor town update within a minute of each other... Last time his city took about 10 minutes to cycle the update.. mine took over 30 minutes for some reason. Even if we were first to place in your situation, he would have 'won'
I am going with.. who finish update first...
It would make sense (granted the time who place first should win) but in the computing world... when they do a check like so (pseudo code here)
City update complete = Yes
Check current available tier 4 = True?
Upgrade to tier 4
Else
Send message "You qualify but could not upgrade";
something like that.
