  1. Mayors would like the ability to evict citizens from their cities.

    • A word of note about this....in order for this to be a valid item for a "wish list", there need to be checks in place to prevent griefing.

This is nuber 8 in the list. I have a Few Ideas for checks.

First, I am a mayor on Naboo (Ahazi) and i run a very citizen based operation. Everything i do, plan, create, move, or what ever i talk to the citizens first. Mostly looking for better ideas or reasons not to. So my first idea for a check through this is, Make it involve more than just the mayor. Put it in an option for a voting terminal. Or in the current one we have. Make it so some how, THe Mayor goes to the people... sais why her wants xxxxx out. and then majority wins.. Poof they are kicked out.

Or,

an idea more set for the larger citys, Make the militia be the deciding factor. Say...... the mayor and 3 militia member must put in the order before the removal takes place.

Either way, let me know what you guys think.

I think that would be good, but still might be considered griefing. What if the mayor had more than one character and they were all on the militia?

Another thing, is that something would have to be done about the house because it couldn't just be destroyed without any warning.

-What I thought of:
***The person would recieve an email notifying them that they are being evicted. It would state a certain amount of time they have to pack up their house and leave the city (say, two weeks) before they would be removed automatically and their house "condemned". If they didn't pack up and leave in that time period, the house would be removed.

Somehow that would have to be tweaked because if a person was on vacation for longer than two weeks, they wouldn't even have a chance.

Maybe there could be a way (if this is even possible) that everything in the house is moved to a safety deposit box but the actual structure is destroyed.

OK, how about this.

A mayor can post an Eviction Notice on a house. What happens to the house after two weeks is that it is moved, insides and all, to some other place outside the town. Not far from the town, but just outside the limits. That way, nobody actually "loses" anything.

I'm just not sure if it would even be possible to move a house, inside and all. That's why there would need to be some sort of storage for the items, I think.

Two weeks of eveiction notice sounds good to me. After that time, the house and it's belongings should be "rolled up" into the persons bank just like th method explained for the structure purge.

I don't see any harm in doing it this way as the person loses nothing other than their spot in a city that doesn't want them.

The power to evict someone should not rest within a sole individual as it is something that can lead to griefing.

What perhaps should be instituited is a city council as well as a Mayor. The city council would be comprised of a number of members equal to 1+ the City Level. These members would be elected at large like the mayor. The City Council then would have the power to evict someone on a vote.

They first would issue a notice.

Then they would issue a final notice

Finally they send word for it to be carried out, and I agree it should be rolled up complete into the person's bank account. Howeve coding needs to be very proper, no bugs, no loss of any items, otherwise it will fail.
