Thread: why does /citywarn not work

It is even in the holocron crtl-h stated in the running city part i want as mayor or any of my trusted militia to be able to /citywarn someone griefing a baby jedi or destroying one of my bases or whatever they are doing in my city that is against the law of my city.

/citywarn was removed quite awhile ago because of people abusing it to grief other players (and to kill a CSR). It will not be coming back.


I'm still going through the Knowledge Base for errors, but I'll add this in ASAP.

I personally wish something similar to city warn would / could be implemented back in the game. Right now all militia is good for is well - zoning. It would be nice to have a real purpose for them, even if it was factional.

Well, I am the Capt. of the Militia in my city. We are Reb city and used to ban overt imps pre-CU. Now we only ban them if they are attacking our base, Jedi or any guild member and Imp actions such as pulling out an AT-ST. But our main problem is credit farmers. We ban them on site with no hesitations and send the CSR's a ticket with all the Character names. I love it when they complain. I tell them, "Send the CSR's a harrassment ticket, see if I care!!!". They never do and move on. But a city warn would be nice. If not, no biggie. I'll just keep on banning!!!!

We have bases - a military district and a merchant district that we open up to both factions openly. Which does cause some problems, but our city has nearly 100 people in it now and I want everyone to be able to have what they idealy need in it.


With that said, we RARELY will ever ban anyone. I wish we had city warn where the militia could attack - for farmers and for those that are harrassing or griefing. Or even during pvp times it would be more of a fair consideration for pvpers and merchants that both live in the city. I really wish they would put that back in the game.


Does anyone know what the reasoning for taking it out was?

Mainly griefing of people in cities near POIs (/citywarning anyone who passed through just because) and the fact that one group /citywarned and incapped a CSR.

it was taking for griefing reasons back then because of the way TEF worked. Sadly like many cool things in the game, once it's taking no one really pays attention to it.
