They need to do away with automatic voting and count only those votes that are cast that week. It would help to keep players involved in their city. If they want improvements to their city, they will get out and vote, giving the mayor more exp and then having the abilities needed to run the city.

The big problem with that is that there is no election until the opponent registers. If he waits until 5 minutes before the city update, he and 3 or 4 friends will be the only people voting that week.

Anyhow, to the original poster - there's no easy way to do this. You've got to get 50%+1 of your citizens to vote for the challenger. Sorry I don't have better news for you.

Functionality should be incorporated to allow the current mayor to retire if someone registers to run against them in the election. The retirements should nullify the automatic vote and allow the new mayor to take over the position.

Evening All,

To start, I'm not a mayor of our city, but an officer trying to helprun it. Currently our city has a mayor that is missing, as well as many players. I'm looking for a few answer if anyone can help, that would be appreciated. Our current Mayor as been missing for some time and we have had no way to contact him. We decided to get a new Mayor and here are the problems we are facing after naming a new Mayor:

1. After naming a new Mayor we tried to recruit new members, and once they placed houses in town the "Missing Mayor" still got a vote, and the tally versus the old Mayor votes never changes. We still have to find those missing players???

2. With having people in our PA serving in the Military, realizing there is a sun, etc. people have things in life that keep them away from the game. So why has there been no solution to this? Why can't you all at S.O.E nicely fold there things up until they come back? Cities of those that play, should not be based on those that don't play or can't.

3. What is the solution to having a city, that you can't even change? Atleast, had a Vice Mayor.

Thanks
