Hello,
I'm a Master Architect on Lowca and I'm considering adding another profession. Combat's not exactly my thing, since I have a number of skill points tied up in merchant. I figured architect works best with politician, so now I need some advice. Basically, anything you think a person who's not familiar with this profession at all should know. Currently, I'm head architect for a player city, so I know a bit,but I want to know more... and I feel bad asking my current mayor. Kind of like having your boss catch you making copies of your resume on the company xerox machine. Anywho, any bits of information you have to share. Just a random sampling of questions I've thought up.
How much cash should I have on hand to start?
Can I be a productive mayor playing just about an hour a day?
What's the best way to recruit active members?
I'm going after a well rounded city, with both combat citizens and crafters, what's a good ratio?
And finally, is it worth it or should I just save my cash and try something else?
Please do not limit your responses to solely these questions, I am sure there's a ton of information out there I need to know, but don't know enough yet about politician to ask.

I am currently a Master Architect, Master Merchant, and Master Artisan, with some Politician. I just wanted to say that since I started my city I personally have found very little time to work with me Architect skills.
- I have seen that very few people know that a politician gets his/her exp throught votes. You receive 100exp for each vote, but only once a week.
- If you are just starting a city 1 hour a day may not be enough, but as you get more people to help with things such as recruiting new citizens, 1 hour may be enough.
- You pay maintenance on you City Hall, amoung other stuructures, once a week. Your starting cost is 35k a week. You cannot set taxes until rank 2, so you would be wise to have at least 500k to put into your city treasury.
- You will only have 24 hours to get 10 citizens to move to your city and declare residence so I am almost sure that 1 hour would be enough for the first day.
