Current Mayor is gone. No longer plays the game. We had plans for me to take over the city eventually so I have some Skills already....but now that it has come down to it I can't get enough votes. I have tried adding more people to the city....I am at my wits end....honestly I am ready to just abandon the city and start another one....Then I thought well maybe I can convince the old Mayor to log in and delete City Hall....

Then I can place my own there....problem solved...kinda.

I wanna know what other problems this will cause?

If the houses around the City Hall are all people who never play anymore will I be in trouble? Will they have to re-declare to become citizens of the new City Hall?

Sounds like you could be in trouble, since 9 other players have to declare residence in 24 hours ... either they activly chose the function out of the structur terminal, or the acitvate declared residice by walking into their house ... but if players aren't active any more you have a seriouse problem

Of course also your civic structures will be destroyed, and you won't be able to put up high level buildings for some time (and could be stuck at the shuttle cap) ...

Maybe you're lucky and beg a CSR to show heart and help you - devs said CSRs could help in cases of switching mayorship on FanFest ... but it's up to the CSR to decide if they want to get involved in changing the game at this level (you have to realise that many cities might be waiting for one of the old cities to fall and open a shuttle slot)

Howdy.....If you can get your existing mayor to log on, Id have him/her contact the CSR's with a note authorizing you to take over the city. Make sure that person explains they are no longer playing
