Thread: Voting bugged?!?

I need to ask if this situation is bugged, or is working as intended...

To cut a long story short, I hate the skill points being eaten up by Politician, so I purchased another account, and am trying to get them to take over as Mayor of my city...

Simple, I just run for mayor, and have the current citizens vote for me, when they next pop by the city. I knew it would be a long process, as a lot of the citizens rarely play anymore.

Now the problem, each week, when the votes are tallied, my main wins (as expected because he still has the majority), but then my alt gets kicked off of the voting, and all votes for her are reset to my main.

I didn't expect to have to re-run for mayor, but that's not too bad, the thing which annoys me is the fact that all the votes I manage to get during the week, are reset to my alt

Is this meant to occur? If not I guess I need to file a ticket, and hope a CSR can help me out.

Looks like I've got a week to get enough votes, but that's a hard task seeing as most citizens don't play often. Guess I'll have to flood the city with more newb's and a free house offer

That's the way the system is. If you lose, you have to re-register to run.

so each week, if no other mayor takes over, the current mayor claims all citizen votes again?

/transferstructure;

/push;

/shout vote for my alt!;

/macro recruit n00bs;

If the incumbent wins, then all citizens votes are re-cast the following week for the incumbent.

It's a pain trying to get voted out of office... I know, I've done it. Good luck...

Thanks just doesn't seem the logical way, but then again, not much in this game seems logical anymore

It's the way it's been since the start. It's supposed to be that if someone runs against the Mayor, if they lose, they have to really want it bad enough to re-register.
