Ok i have looked around and tried to find a good list of City structures and when they can be placed, by whom they can be placed, and how many lots they use up... unfortunatly everything i find seems to be old and only shows things as they were before vehicle garages.
Anyone know where i can get a current list of this. Also....
When it comes to a medical center, a cantina..ect.. they have to be sponsored by a resident Master Doc in the case of the med center. I think this blows. a master doctor who is trying to "do it themself" and make all thier own meds, harvest thier own stuf..ect.. this forces this doc to LOSE 3 lot spaces. this blows. I agree with having only a master doc being able to drop the building but is there some way for these buildings to count against the CITY and not the player character?? I mean a city can have a Cloning station under its wings. why cant the others be the same way? just not placeable by the Mayor.?\

This is the best i have seen. I dont know of anything more current but short of grage data it has everything. I hope it helps some.
As for the cantina and/or med center These are designed so that the Player owner can use them to host a vendor, instate a entree fee and/or use it in other ways to turn a profit. All of the City building that use city lots have no abilty (excpt the City Hall vendor exploit) to do any of these short of tiping a preformer i suppose. This is why they are set up for city lots. They arnt intended to put money in a players pocket only take it out.
A friend and i operated a cantina for some time in a player city on Naritus. We did so quite profitably. The cantina, med center, and theator (which is totaly screwed BTW) are ment to turn a a profit for players, so they take player lots. Thats the best reason i can give for leaving it the way it is.
Along the same lines... Why dose a Structure Factory take 2 lots when all other factories take one?? A Architect uses more resources then any other profession in the game. Dosnt this hamper his ability to colect these resources he needs so badly? Yep I am one I'd know. The reason this is done however is to...
1) Help grow a player based econamy (cant spell sry) by increasing trade between players.
2) The Structure Factory is what 5-6 Times the size of any other factory (not footprint size actule size)
3) Arches use two resources mostly ore (about 60% im told) and steel(about 35%) everything else added togeather is less the 5% total. So cost of mineing is lower for the arch giveing him a higher respective markup. So to keep the almighty game ballance the structure factory takes 2 lots.
Case and Point.
Every Profession gets screwed in one way or another. It keeps everyone in balance, helps the econamy, and make far a better overall game experiance. Look at what you do because of the extra lot usage.
>Comunicate with other players
>Buy and Trade
>Possable make new friends and contacts
>Help get your name out!!
For every down there is a up. Look for the bright side and have a better experience. Complain and you be a statistic what is it right now? Avarage account length 3 months? Or has it come up a littleI hope.
Please dont look at this as a flame its not ment to be it ment to show that everyone suffers somthing.
Thank You,
Oreet

Hi,
Is there any way that I as a city mayor, can transfer ownership of a building (such as a large Tatooine House) to the city, thus making it a city owned structure, and it's maintenance is paid out of the city treasury?
I want to set up a Large Tatooine house as a shopping mall in my city (where each vendor gets a room of their own to decorate as they see fit and all, but I already have all of my lots used by (city museum, my home, a storage house). Is this something that is possible to do, and if not at the present, is it possible for the coorespondent, Pappi, to pass this idea on to TH, or whoever it is that takes these types of requests.
thanks,
menyou

No you can't. FWIW all my city vendors (also the same in many other cites - including Pappi's, New Unity ) are in Vendor tents. Being 1 lot each it's a lot easier to spread the lot's around (get your merchants to hold one etc.) and they are a LOT easier to find. Walk into a city with a vendor building and invariably it's a lot harder to find than one with tents ( which more often than not are very close to the shuttle or city hall and dead easy to spot).
