What happens if a Mayor's account is deleted off the server and someone is running aginst him?

The city is dissolved and the civic structures are destroyed when the mayor deletes.

Anarchy and chaos.
I doubt the city would be destroyed although I wouldn't put it past the devs to have that accidentaly put in the game. If that does happen just contact a CSR asap and things should work out or at worst another city would steal your shuttleport slot so you'll be at rank 3.

It's true the city is destroyed. Happened on Ahazi for sure, maybe elsewhere. The civic structures (namely the City hall) are tied to the mayor's character. If the mayor deletes his character, all associated structures (houses, harvesters, and the city hall) are destroyed.

It happened in my Cityback in the first week of march.I was the one who should be the new mayor as the old one wanted to start a new char. I already had the necessary votes, but the old mayor deleted her char some hours to early. The city went puff. I bought very fast a new Cityhall as the we were on Naboo (Chimeara) and the lots are not to many for cities. I tried to convince the CSR to manual give us back our lvl 3 status as we were competing with some other cities for the last lvl 4 lots. They didnt do it. Unfortunately it took us one week to long to lvl 3 as in that week the last lvl 4 lot was given away. I waited since then that we had a chance to go up, (got every week my message "City Expansion capped"). But Yesterday we finally got lvl 4. Im a bid curios as at least 2 other cities got it as well, if they increased the cap on lvl 4 cities.
Ok CU guys
And dont kill the mayors char, its the worst thing for a city.

Have you gotten an understanding that petitions do nothing at all? Pappi is our pipeline to the top and she's working damnded hard and knows just about all the issues we have since reasonable ones are fairly few.

At least you get the warm and fuzzy for having stated your position on a particular topic by signing a petition. So they are not a complete waste of time.

Yeah, but to me it just seems like simply bumping up a message that our correspondent doesn't really want nor need to see anymore. I mean there isn't too much activity on the poli board but if I were the correspondent seeing a petition pop up again and again would just sorta get on my nerves so I tend to look down upon them. Especially considering the devs don't read them or care about the number of signatures if they do. As soon as we get an issue to "known status" or whatever we've pretty much done our part. But meh, your time your typing.
