Search here isn't being very helpful. I also know that the stuff is only recently on TC, so people can't test out the higher-end stuff yet. Some information is filtering out about how many lot sizes each building takes up, but I can't find reference to the complete list. Was hoping someone can point me at a post with it included, or we start here with a listing as discovered.
What I know right now:
City Hall: 2lots
Shuttleport, Bank: 0 lots
Parks/Gardens: 0 lots

It wouldnt make sense to have civil buildings take up lots..if the mayor had a shuttle port placed and it took up lots and he is voted out of office then only the mayor can access terminal on shuttle port..this is why i beleave they put maintaince cost on these structure..cause there has to be some sort of expense for having em.

My Cantina takes up 6 lots and my medical centre takes up 3, which goes against what you said.

I know my cantina cost me 5 lots... couldn't have been 6 because I have a tent and 2 medium buildings ...
My theater cost 3 (same as the med center of a friend)
You can read it in Khristens FAQ under
Q: What is the difference between Civic Structures and Commercial Structures?
A: Civic Structures are city buildings that can be placed by the mayor only and take no lots. City Halls, Gardens, Garages, Banks, Cloning Facilities, Shuttleports, terminals and decorations are Civic Structures; the city rank and Politician skills determine how many/when a structure can be placed and all maintenance costs come from the city treasury. Only the current Mayor has admin to these structures.
Commercial Structures are player-placed structures that work the same as any player structure. These structures do require a player be of a certain skill in order to place the structure, but may be transferred to another player at any time regardless of skill and will remain if a player drops the required skill. A Cantina requires a Master Musician, a Master Dancer or a Master Chef to place and takes 5 lots. A Hospital requires a MasterDoctor or a Master Combat Medic to place and takes 3 lots. A Theater requires a Master Musician or a Master Dancer to place and takes 3 lots.

well get a CSR to get you your 1 lot back because I was there and knew the guy had 2 cantinas down with his 10 lots and last I checked 5 * 2 = 10 and 6 * 2 = 12 and we have a 10 lot limit. I assumed that hospitals were the same because theaters are also 5 lots

Holy Necro Batman!
I don't even remember this post. But to start, I said those numbers when it was still on Test Center, meaning it could have changed after I had posted. Also, they could have been estimates/heresay.
