I'm still scratching my head. I thought it should be 10 until the next patch... can't quite figure this out did someone goof, or have player city caps been lifted for weeks already?

Good grief.

Yeah, my theory is that Ahazi Naboo was the test planet to see how many the system could take - either that or it is a bug

But I think it works out well - I don't feel increased lag - and I haven't seen any bunching of cities.

Plus it is fun to run around and check out all the other cities Tranquillity is beautiful by the way - great job Sevarhin

Chilastra's only has 10, sorry to dissapoint you. However, the vast majority of our cities are all clustered in the north and east of the map. Apparently no one likes The Lake Retreat that much except one gigantic Imperial Stronghold to the south of it.

I hate to say it, but from where I sit, it's pretty hideous over there. I went for a ride on Naboo to visit a couple Cities, and ended up spending over an hour without being outside of a city radius for more than a minute or two. It's our worst fears realized...

What part of Naboo? North of Coronet seemed the most dense with cities to me - and it will likely be worse when the caps are raised. I haven't been to Tatooine, so not sure if that is dense too. But Naboo it seemed to me many towns were built away from the major cities.

So, we are the only ones, huh? I was wondering about that since Ahazi's Naboo world map looks like a waypoint storage area. I have to click into the map twice just to see where I truly want to go. But that brings me to a question. If this is only a test, what happens when the test is over? Are the DEV's going to eliminate all but the 10 largest cities? I would love to see how that went over.

It's not the location, it's the density.

Yes, most Corellian cities are forced into an area of the map, but since it takes me fiteen minutes to go from one to another in some cases, the density doesn't feel extreme.

WHY isn't there any dev or Plinka response on this! This is a SERIOUS breakdown in the rules of the game, as given us by the devs!

The caps are artificial anyways, they aren't really the rules of the game. It is not like players on one planet have 350 skill points or something.

And I really don't know where you are talking about with the cities crunched together like that. there are a few pockets of a few towns. But really there is still a TON of open land - I should know - I do all my mining on Naboo, and I don't have a problem at all.

There isn't much the devs can do now anyways, they aren't going to undeed cities that are already founded and growing. And there is no technical reason to do so that I can see. They will just not allow more building on Naboo and hope a few cities poof if necessary (actually given the new cap system, it is possible that many of the cities are just outpostsand don't count toward the cap anyway - remember right now even outposts can register on the map...)

If you don't like city density I would suggest building away from the Capital cities on the starting planets. Remember under the new cap outposts are unlimited, so around Coronet, Theed, Beastine (?) there will likely be city halls every 1000 meters. And frankly that makes sense if you think about it - that is how cities develop in the real world - and certainly in a Star Wars type universe too.

I think we have 8.

Even if they lifted the cap on Ahazi, wouldn't it be 20 now? Something seems wrong on that server...

Ahazi is unique in this. Kettemoor only has 4 visible, but the others are locatable by looking at bank and mission terminals.

Unless they changed it, or I misread it would be 20 villages, 15 townships, 10 cities, and is it 5 metropolises? The outposts will be unlimited. So there is a chance that Naboo Ahazi only has 20 villages and higher. But I am not sure either way.

I spent part of last weekend running around Naboo on my new mount - and I really like the way it is. I don't see any reason to limit the number of cities. But I guess that is just my philosophy - I like people to be able to do what they want - especially when they are paying for a game

Little Rori only has 3 which isn't surprisingsince it's a free for all on Naboo.

The lag difference between Naboo and Rori is immediately noticeable (at least near Kadarra, Theed, Moenia or Deeja Peak). Alot of my guild mentioned last night that it's much worse than before there (not that Naboo has ever been lag free).

Iwonder how they're going to resolve this.
