Thread: What do gardens look like that are placed on slopes?
(stupid Enter button)...
I recently placed a statue on a slope and the lower side "hangs" out over the air... the side of the fountain does not go down to touch the falling slope. It is odd looking, but we can deal with it. However, I want to place a small garden on this same slope. Will the garden "hang" in the air as well?
Thanks.
Yes, I believe it will, Cho. Haven't seen your town as of yet (Lok is a bit wild for old Uncle Neto), but here on Talus we have gullies running everywhere, one through our town. While we can place fountains and gardens there, their foundation isn't very deep and it creates almost a tunnel underneath. Might look halfway nice if it had a grating over it!
On the other hand, if we place a house in that same spot, the foundation extends all the way down and there is no tunnel underneath.
If you're ever out Talus way, just give a hollar to Uncle Neto down in Sea Haven, I'd be more than happy to demonstrate (I always carry several gardens in my pocket!), and I'm still looking forward to our first meeting.
thank than likely it will......
most of SWG I notice are "level base" item.. the house don't till.. it just get more foundation to work with.. etc etc..
You can't place anything but houses, streetlights, mission terminals and statues on slopes. This creates a tremendous waste of grid space and makes for uglier cities to not allow us to use this area.
If there is a tiny dip, you get a corner sticking out.

That answers my question perfectly, thank you. Neto I would be honored to visit your city and meet.
