i'll get straight into it
i am the mayor and guild leader of Imperial Order based on Talus in the city of Beville (not currently on map)
I have just been informed over MSN by my fellow militia member that a guild that i will not name for reasons has placed 24 large harvestors 1m outside of our city, this is unacceptable for a few reasons:
1. When we get level 3 on Saturday their structures will be within our city limits thus not giving us room to place more houses, medical centres, cantinas, lamps and statues and everything else
2. They are completely refusing to move until the current spawn of some resource has gone. (how long does a resource last)
I am very upset that this has been brought to my attention since i am not online on swg at this current time, i have sent an email to SOE Support and i will be sending in 2 tickets tomorrow morning at 6am GMT.
Is there anything that i can do to get them to move their harvestors i'm having complaints from my members about them being in the way and acting all stubborn
from one Politican to another is there anything i can do?

unless they're placing these harvs there just to spite your city, the harv owners haven't done anything wrong, especially when it sounds like they *are* planning to move these harvs after the current spawn.
if you have proof that they're placing the harvs there to grief you, then take your case to a CSR.

when we update there structures will be within our limits so i could just put the taxes thru the roof and make them pay lol but i wont
they are putting them there for a spawn of whatever resource it is, i dont want them there neither does my guild. i'll see if citywarn or cityban works probably doesnt.
do you know how long a current spawn of a resource is there for?

read the poster above you... usually spawns last 1-2 weeks max.
keep this in mind: while I understand why you're upset, you don't own the land around your city, especially before you update. if they already said they'll be moving after the spawn, I suggest that you let them be.

It's always better to give the benefit of the doubt. The best % of the spawn probably was inside your city limits, and of course they couldn't place there. So they put them outside your city.
People who own that many harvs and invest that much $$ into them won't risk losing them, so they will just remove them when the spawn is over.
Have patience - people aren't always as bad as you think
Just smile, keep a good attitude, and they'll probably surprise you by being very gracious and fast about moving their harvs.

Yes we have a similar problem as our city is right on top of a location that often gets good quality spawns, I get emails from people wanting to place harvesters in the city as by the time you get to the outskirts its more or less dried up.

I get the same thing. I tell them that unfortunately in-city harvesting is reserved for citizens-only. I haven't gotten any flack from anyone regarding such a message - keeping it polite and straightforward seems to work in most cases, and if explained nicely and with respect, people generally understand.

Our city has that problem, and what we did was do a property tax at max 50%. with any luck (been 1 month now) the harvs will burn up, but until then, we are collecting 75k extra in maint.
