I'm very frustrated. I have a new city. We are about 4 weeks old. Everything has been going great and according to plan. We hit size 2 this morning. I was ready to train politician 2 x x x at this point and place my bank terminal. But I got almost zero xp this week. I realize it is because the voting cycle has been expanded to three weeks. But I have no way of knowing when the silly "vote" is going to occur. The terminal doesn't tell me. How am I to plan at this point if I have no idea when my experience is going to finally be awarded?

It is very frustrating, and in my opinion, somewhat ridiculous that the voting cycle has been pushed out so far. 3 times the xp, at 1/3rd the frequency is sadistic.

Agreed, I registerd to run for mayor in my city and god knows when the election finishes.

im wondering the same. how do we know.

and how much xp per vote, is it 100 per vote?

Use the city terminal, some of the city reports will trigger a system message saying how long till next update ("election").

says nothing about a election, but it does trigger a system message about the next city update...

I'm kind of new to Poli as well but if I under stand it correctly the election takes place every 3 city updates on the same day as the city update so in order to find out when the election is all you need to do is follow your city updates.

Edit: which is basically what Unhuldur was saying but in a different way

So when do they all update then, every Friday or something? I ran for mayor in our town, and no one seems to know when the election is going to be finally over.

So far I'm winning the election.... and I cant do nothing until the city update. Christ this sucks!
