last week in politics

whoops... sorry this is late again. this is my "dead week" and I have 2 presentations to do, so I'm gonna make this short.

the future of NU is still uncertain, as apparently some of my citizens thought I have left TC months ago (which you guys know isn't the case), and I've encouraged them to vote me out if they're not satisfied with my service. there's all type of misinformation flying around... and I guess I'm "turning against them" when I lose the guild tag. I've reassured them that even when the city will be unaffiliated, the only things that will change is that Unity members will now have to go thru the citizenship application process like everyone else, and that the city name might be changed.

I care about the city, but I care about my health and sanity more, so if I'm going to get more crap I'm just going to leave, start up the corr city (which hasn't started, I've been busy ), and actively promote my tailor business again.

next week will be even worse for me. I'll be moving (yes again, yes twice in 6 months), and while I'll have internet the whole time I might be too busy to read every day. I have brought up xp cap at the corr forum again, but no response so far.

so how's your city this week?

Even as I am not a Politican, I'll give some updates on Riverwood (Kauri, Dantooine -400 -700).

Over the last 3 weeks we have been promoting our town with all we got. We have grown by 25 citizens in this period. This was mostly done by talking to everybody we met. We also have a strong welcome/starters package that seems to attract a lot of new people to town .

Today we have 36 citizens in our little town. We just missed the upgrade but thats not a problem, we'll get it next week.

As for the future. We'll get Improved Job Market next week. Only thing to go at that point is make our city attractive to get traffic going. We plan to have a master doctor, dancer and musician online all the time who will buff for 10k. Appart from that we'll lure people with a 25mil lotery, A serverwide "event".

I have noticed that all those new people bring in other new people themselves, so I expect a boom the comming 2 weeks. I'll keep you all up to date.

Mos Vegas, Tatooine - Valcyn

This week while we broke our own record of the largest city on Tatooine ever and also tied the all time largest city record on Valcyn of 181 citizens

Having the merchants donate what they received in the sales tax on an honor system basis is working so far, but I hope the dev's get that fixed soon so I can lower the property and income taxes.

Also we are preparing to allow new PA's to join our originaly 1 PA town.

Wow Pappi, sounds like the same thing I had to go threw recently.

Sanctuary City on Naboo, Naritus is no more. It was down to a rank 2 city, treasury was almost dead, and less then 5 houses within the new city radius. So I pulled up the hall.

Molly our Mayor-bot, put down a new city hall in our new location, and declaired our city TiePilot Estates. Then we had a mad panic that we only had 24 hours to get 10 citizens. There were 10+ houses and declaired residents in our sphere of influence, but they have to log in, and be in town to actually show up as being a resident. (Grumbles)

With much THANKS to Finnahen from Tempest, we were able to get the 10 needed to keep the city hall. We will be removing the few excess houses this weekend, when the actual active (Just not daily active) members log in, and give us our numbers.

Our city is small at only 10 people, and we like it that way. We want to keep the city small and avoid major guild/city politics. We are between Moenia and the Emperor's Retreat so expect some decent foot traffic.

I'm happy in the game, everything in the city is paid up for 6 months (by me). And when done with all that, I have twice as much money then I ever did in my old guild/city. So life is good and happy.

Hesperia - Bloodfin

Well, The city has been up for a year, and recieved its final critical blow early last week when a few inactive citizens were wiped. It's record was 68 people. We've decided to go ahead and move to a new city that we are currently planning out(with kurrins help). Im hoping that the new city will become a new mecca of PVP and commerce, with some player held events thrown in for good measure.

I already have applications from several vendors wanting to get into the new mall, but are also skeptical because of the increasing amount of cancellations over the past month. Largely in part due to EQ2 and WoW. So we'll see how it goes.

Atonement Valley - Lok - Kettemoor

Well, last week's monumentous transition from village to town status was shortlived as one of the sleeper-citizen's houses went Kaiser Soze on us on Friday. I haven't yet had the nerve to log in and see whether our newly acquired hospital and cloning centres have gone byebye also.

Guess I should be happy managing The Finest Laid Out (village sized)City In All Of Lok.

hey bud, if your city contracted you will have 1 week to replace the lost citizen before anything goes away, so no worries
