My mate is a novice poli and running for mayor in a small village, he as two houses and wants to swop residences to the other house (both houses in the city) will this lose his votes in the run for mayor???

It will make him not a citizen for a day because of the delay on re-declaring residency. So that just might get him kicked off the ballot (it should anyway unless the system is buggy... a non-citizen should not be allowed to run for mayor). I don't know for sure but if I was him I'd wait until right after the election to do it.

I was able to remove the house I was using to be a citizen, place a new one, and declare citizenship in that house in the same day and not be removed from the ballot. He should be fine, as he's got both houses in the city. He'll have to wait 24 hours to re-declare though. Good luck =)
