Granted, this is a n00b question, so please forgive in advance.

Did theychange the amount of AP needed for novice politician? Everywhere I've read it says 500 AP is needed, but there appears to be a popular belief that it was change to 250 AP for novice politician.

I've read the very helpful FAQs, etc.
